We were looking for a place to stay for a few hours before boarding a cruise without paying a lot. The bluelagoon was clean and in a good part of town. The staff was very friendly and held our room past late check-in due to a later flight. The night we got off the boat we had booked another hotel, because this one was full, and paid nearly $100 more and it wasn't any better quality. We were very pleased with our stay.
Good Vallue

Needed to be close to the conference site we were attending and this property fit the bill at a fair price. We prefer not bing in a high rise hotel with a busy lobby and this hotel was just what we like. The room was above average for the price and the property as a whole was very nice. Other properties were three times the price without the conveniences.

It was the first time that I had booked a room for my husband and I to stay in. We were travelling by ourselves to Miami for the first time and I was very anxious to get everything right. I had heard about this hotel from a friend who warned me before hand that if I am looking for 5 star treatment this was not it! All I wanted was somewhere to sleep, eat and store my stuff while we shopped and this was just perfect for that. The rooms were large and clean. The website was up front about room and maid services being unavailable. It also indicated that toiletries could be replenished at the front desk along with towels. It also gave a brief overview of places of interest within the area. This was great! The kitchenette had a stove, fridge microwave and utensils. We were able to save on food by going to the grocery on our first day there. It has all these great malls within 10 minutes of driving and the airport is also very close. I would heartly recommend this to any traveller watching his dollars and cents and who has no need for creature comforts such as room service, mint on pillow etc. I will be going there again this year!

A group of 10 colleagues booked this hotel for 10 nights as part of a business trip. The rooms were $150 a night. Upon entering the room, we noticed the following:
1-No shampoo provided
2-Some rooms not clean
3-Maid service is weekly for stays over 5 days
4-No TV guide or any local information available in the room
5-No breakfast (snack food was available for purchase)
6-No pool
7-Rooms with kitchen areas had no dishwasher
8-Wireless Internet required manual intervention each night
In short, I have stayed at Traveldges with better amenities. I would not recommend this place unless you have $150 a night to spend on what is essentailly a motel.

We stayed at Homestead Blue Lagoon for one night before our cruise. We booked with the 1-800 number two rooms, one family for two nights and for us one night. The other family arriving one night before us. On they're arrival, the security guard didn't even have our name down on papers, computer, no confirmation # anywhere. They left the front desk with no room. So they knew this guy had no idea what he was doing so they pretended (long distance) to call us, and told the security guard that we were on the phone and that we couldn't understand why they're was no reservation even with a confirmation #, and that we were going to call the head office. So right away he gave them a room. We arrived at 10:30pm the next night, went to check in but the security guard at the desk, didn't have our papers with our name but the other family's name when we are the ones that booked it. WEIRD If staying at this hotel please make sure you arrive in the day time, to avoid the security guard at night. The room was o.k. but i think the sheets were dirty... still hair in the bed from previous occupants and tiny ants crawling in the bathroom, far from everything need a car to get anywhere. Good luck
