Kind of dumpy

When I stayed at this hotel in 2006 it was really nice. It was CLEAN and no odors in the hallway. Now just a year later it's a real dump. The carpet is filthy in the hallways. It smells like smoke (even people smoking in the hallways) and other various wet dog smells. The room was filthy. The cleaning person vacuumed for about 10 seconds by the door was all (I was there!). There was all kinds of debri by the night stands and under the bed skirt.
Internet access slows way down at night.
It's fairly quiet at night.
It is convenient to all things on the south side of Bloomington.
good and bad

Stayed for one night. Booked it thru Priceline. First room had one bed and it was a double bed (small). Asked for another and was charged $11. Second room the toliet was dirty. Third room had smut magazines in the mattress. When we complained we did get our $11 back. The rest of the stay was nice. The kitchette is nice and clean. Beds were comfortable.
Basic with some extras

If you are looking for a place to stay with kitchen facilities or just a clean basic place this works. I have stayed here several times and was satisfied, except at my last stay they have eliminated daily room make up service unless you want to pay for it. Again, the premise is that these are for out of town extended stay workers or the like, so it is really not a big problem. Also, desk is closed and unmanned all night until about 7:00 am.
Good things-very reasonable, clean, quite, convenient.
Downside-no amenities other than a kitchen. Beds are very hard.
I would stay there again, but usually dock at another hotel with more creature comforts.
