Our concierge at our currrent hotel called Hotel Lausanne the day before to confirm our arrival at 1 PM on June 3. We arrived and were told that we could not check in until 5 PM because of some water problem. Being myself and daughter, we asked if we cold leave our luggage there and not miss out on our days in Paris. They left it our in the open.
We returned at 5 PM to check in and when we opened the door to the room, it smelled like a dirty sock filled gymnasium! I sprayed room spray and hoped we could stomach the smell. When I took off my shoes to relax I walked into the bathroom and the carpet just outside the bathroom was literally soaked. My socks were wet and so I asked if we could change rooms because of the smell and the water.
I was told they were full and they may be able to change us the next day. NO such luck!
Since I had paid in full on Hotels.com I felt like I had no choice but to stay there.
The smell was a little fainter but I had to use shoes in the room the whole time.
I will never go back and would not recommend them as they were not helpful to remidy the situation.

I booked this hotel on a rush because i needed something cheap, and well located for my girlfriend and I.
I know the area (been toParis many times) and it has a good public transportation network, a calm but with plenty to do neighbourhood and rather on the cheaper side compared to paris center.
We got early to the hotel (10a.m.) and our room wouldn't be ready until 2p.m, so we left our luggages in the reception desk and went out for a tour. On that same street we saw 6 more 3 stars hotels which looked better than Lausanne. Still, I didn't check their rates.
Back to the hotel we went up to our room 504 around 6p.m. It was a quite small room but we didn't care because it was only for one night. We unpacked, and when we felt it was getting too hot in there i tried to start the A/C...no luck. So I went for the minibar yo get something fresh...everything was warm. Maybe the TV would help forget about the temperature...bt it wasn't working either. I called the reception desk and they asked me to check if everything was pluged in. It was so the told me to put everything back as it was and go down so they could give us another room. They gave us room 205 with 2 single beds instead of a large one. The second floor hallway was completely dark, the lights weren't working but we managed to get to the room thanks to the emerncy lights!
This roome prooved a little larger and the biggest downsides i found were the lack of bathtub (room 504 had one), and the feeling that the carpet wasn't as clean as it should. But at least things worked inside.
So if you are looking for something cheap, just for one night, and are planning on spending the day outside the hotel (you should, you are in Paris!!)you might want to try your luck here. Otherwise look for the other hotels in a 200m radius.
