This place is horrible. It is filthy- bugs (alive and dead), broken screen, rattly air conditioner, stained and dirty refrigerator, dripping bathroom sink and the bathroom sprinkler totally covered by masking tape (not sure why, since it obviously hasn't been painted in recent history). This supposedly has a "full service kitchen", but you have to make due with the bare minimum- like two forks, three spoons, two mismatched cups, etc. Make sure to bring your own dishwashing liquid, shampoo, etc. Cleaning the room is not included in the price, although they will do it for a additional charge. I took the trash out of our room and threw it in the trash container on the cigarette butt covered stairway, and noticed it was still there (since there was no lid on the trash can) a day and a half later. Totally disgusting- spend a few extra bucks and stay somewhere else- you'll be glad you did.

I vowed NEVER to book a hotel "blindly" again after staying at this hotel! Went to Nashville for a girlfriend shopping getaway and definitely didn't get what we expected in this lodging. Office in obscure location, no continental breakfast (could have sworn the web said it had that), creepy feeling place, our rooms were separated...we locked ourselves in for the night. Property in MAJOR need of renovation. I'll never use the ESA chain again...sad because I don't demand "fancy" when traveling, just clean, basic and SAFE...we didn't feel that way here but got through it for the one night. Wish I'd checked this sight first!!!!

Found hotel through Travelocity what I thought was an okay price, but now I know it was overpriced. We stayed in room 307 and from the jump BAD EXPERIENCE!! There was pubic hair all over the bathroom and kitchen floor, almost like someone groomed themselves right before we walked in the door. The tables were not cleaned and when we turned on the A/C (it was very hot) someone literally urinated in it. The room flooded with the smell. We immediatly called the front desk and they were not concerned also told us they were booked so we were stuck. We left for Ryman's Auditorium and when we closed the door we found that the door doesn't lock. We tried several times just in case but it was broken. Thank god we brought our dogs. There was activity all night from the permenant residence. We would of left but the marathon made it impossible to find a room at any other hotel in the area. At least our concert was wonderful. Don't stay in room 307!!

Stayed at ESA since there was no other rooms available on short notice at Marriott Courtyard or Hampton. Room had a recliner that was somewhat broken down - foot rest would not retract. Upon inspecting the sheets found significant amount of hair that was not my own. Someone had also left a charge cord in the room apparently from the night before that wasn't removed which was more proof that the staff had not spent much time in the room cleaning. Called the front desk and they moved me to another room (which was smoking since there were no more non-smoking rooms left). This room was not any better (rm 324) - again found a bit more hair in the sheets. The alarm clock and light next to the bed had been unplugged. I had to shift the night stand over slightly to get at the socket. There on the floor was some misc. garbage along with some kind of dried up white material which I could not identify.....besides all of this the room heater rattled quite a bit. Not a pleasant experience. The room cost $65 but I would happily have paid an extra $50 for a clean room. High speed internet access costs an extra $4.95.

My husband and I had reserved this place for a nine night stay but after two nights we had tolerated all we could and cancelled the rest of our nights to go elsewhere. The towels had hairs in them, the sheets were nasty and the mattress had a terrible smell to it. We even went to the local K-mart and bought a set of sheets and our own towels and washclothes, but we stunk so bad each morning from the mattress. Additionally, this would not be a place for children as several men stood outside in the boxer shorts each time we got off the elevator - something is definitely not family oriented in this place. We moved down the street to the Homestead suites which was great and only $2.00 a night more and salvaged our trip.
