the management is very very bad. i am going to file a discrimination report. one of the manager has judged people by race, sex origin, and age. other managers left to fill in for him were also poor managers. by this i mean they was given orders to lock people out without a key to let them back in. my son has been locked out for 2 nights, the front desk set and talked on the phone with several of there friends for approx. 4 hours while attempting to so calling the manager. i have no idea who is in charge. my son sat for 8 hours withoput any food or clean clothing. they would not or could not let him in the room because of ADAM. I also know that money is misssing from the register because of ADAM, by overhearing conversations by phone .overhearing converstation by ADAM talking to him friends, the management has left employees and customers ifo out for the public to view
My ratings for this hotel are:
1.0 Check in / front desk
1.0 Business service
1.0 Value
1.0 Service
3.0 Rooms
2.0 Location
2.0 Cleanliness

I called Priceline to formally file a complaint about the hotel the night of my stay. The hotel was overbooked and they tried initiatially to send me to ESA Fort Jackson, but I refused to be moved. They gave me a room but the room was filthy (toilet looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in a month, condoms in one dresser drawer, cigarette ashes in another dresser drawer, 1 + inch gap under the door to the outside, etc.). I went to the office to complain and the girl working the desk wasn't shocked and was very embarrassed. She offered to send me to the other hotel again (Ft. Jackson) and said that the Ft. Jackson ESA was nicer (which is was).
The girl working the front desk was fantastic, she was put in a tough spot and handled it very professionally. But, the hotel was in horrible shape. I'm not extremely picky when it comes to hotels, really all I ask is that they be clean. The staff couldn't even guarantee me that the sheets had actually been changed.
One of the worst ever!

Urine stains on wall next to bed. Urine puddle next to shower. Rusty refrigerator. Crooked cabinet doors. Veneer peeling from cupboards. Dirty hand-stains on doors. Lackluster A/C. Commode wouldn't stop filling until *I* adjusted the float. Can it get any better?
Oh, but wait... there's more! On my last night at this dump, the toilet in the unit above me became clogged and flooded *my* room, dripping fetid water on my bed and depositing an inch of "water" in the bathroom. The guest claimed he was unaware of the problem until he woke up. He then quickly ran past me to his truck and drove off.
There is no one at the Front Desk between 11pm and 7am. So what happens in an emergency like this? You wait until a grumpy clerk comes on duty. All she would do is offer me a 1-night free stay at any ESA and refuse my request for a complete refund.
I had always held Extended Stay America in high regard. This is obviously a case of poor management.
Bottom line? You'd be happier (and healthier) sleeping in your car!.
Not 2 bad

Booked on priceline and then read reviews afterwards. Yous really scared me! It's not bad. My room was clean and in good condition. The wireless internet was 5 bucks. The staff was nice. There's no restaurant here, but it's smack next to Embassy Suites and a walk up hill to Waffle House. Nice zoo is one minute drive away. Columbia is the thing to complain about! I've been all over US and overseas. Columbia is the most unexciting place I've been besides my Grandmom's retirement community, I'm from Philly so if you are coming from North this is a day trip kinda place....I'd never go back unless it was at gunpoint.
