Good Deal

i booked this hotel on hotwire for my trip to montgomery. after reading the reviews here about this hotel, i was expecting the worst hotel ever and was looking forward to compaining about it. we called the nite before to see if this hotel would have an early check in, and was told to check the day off. we found that hotel with no problems, it is right off the main road once you get to mongomery, was very close to where we needed to go.
we are able to check in right away at 10am. when we got to the room, were were pleasently surprise to find that the room we got was a studio, with full kitchen, and it was very clean and smelled very good. granted the door was not in the best shape, but it was still very warm in the room at nite. on the second nite of our stay, we have also descovered that there is a onsite security personal that walks the floors since the enterance is out side. also was surprised about the good deal we got for this hotel. i would definetly stay at this hotel again

I booked this hotel through priceline as a 2 star. I am familiar with the area and thought a 2 star would be fine. The rooms were old and the bed was not very comfortable. It was also hard to control the room temperature. This is probably the worst 2 star priceline has ever put me in. I rate it a 1 star.

My girlfriend and I booked this "2 star" place through priceline and it turned out to be the worst place I've stayed at.
I don't understand how this place can be an "extended stay" type of place. It wasn't even worthy of a "place to crash."
The television was a 13 inch tv with very crappy cable. We actually got the internet for free but they normally charge $5. It is as fast as dial-up! The beds were like speeling on the floor. I hurt all the next day after this place!
Oh, and speaking of sleeping, goodluck if you can! Tons of people walking by your room through the night and lots of "fast and furious" racing up and down the main drag through the night!
If you got this place through priceline, try your hardest to get out of it. Good luck to you!

I stayed in Oct 2005 on my way to MA and my choice was based upon the pet allowance...My first room had roaches...I moved and later found my second room had roaches...there was no escaping them...I have lived in Montgomery since 1998 and know if you don't spray frequently you'll encounter a bug problem - this was an invasion...Night shift personnel were not very responsive nor knowledgeable of the hotel or accomodations...House keeping was lacking too...

We stayed at this hotel because we needed to sleep 4 adults for one night and wanted the extra room. We were placed in a handicapped room on the 1st floor. Although both the room was large and the beds were large and comfortable, the first thing I noticed were a bunch of dead small bugs in the kitchen area and a couple in the bathroom. Since we had lived in Montgomery before, I was fully aware that bugs were a common problem in even the nicest homes, I wasn't super alarmed. However, it did make me uncomfortable beacuse it gave me the indication the room may not have been cleaned in a while. I asked that we be switched to another room. The hotel clerk was very friendly and apologetic. He said the handicapped rooms weren't used very often which was probably what caused the bugs to be in the floor. He gave us the key to another room, but when I viewed the room (not a handicapped room) it was MUCH smaller on all accords (room, bed, TV, kitchen area, bathroom). We got someone to clean the bugs up and decided to stay in the 1st room.
As the night progressed, it got considerably worse. Let me just say one word...ROACHES. Again, I had lived in Montgomery before and realize that even my co-workers in even the cleanest homes would complain on see a roach on occassion, I don't expect to see several during a single nights stay in my hotel room. Had I not lived in Montgomery in the past and known of some bug problems, I would have rated this hotel terrible, but I'm trying to be fair. Though it gave us a roomy place to sleep, I will definitely not stay there in the future as I have stayed in hotels closer to the I-85/exit 6 interchange in the past and not experienced this bug problem on a 1 night stay.
