Stayed here for a convention in the Von Braun Center downtown (was an exhibitor). For the dollars ($65 per night), it was a good value but it was no way perfect.
Pluses: Incredibly easy 7 minute commute into downtown (5 lanes on Interstate 565 and probably only 2 are needed even at rush hour). Staff was friendly. Water pressure was best I have ever had!
Cons: Tired rooms, not really comfortable beds and pillows, entry from the exterior (vs interior hallway), very thin walls (room next door literally left their TV on all night which could be heard when AC kicked off), outside noise could be heard clearly in rooms, no central gathering area so you can get out of your room/ box (ie no lobby, pool, etc).
Tips: Use exit 15 to get to hotel, there is a Walmart off of exit 8 to stock up. Brew House downtown had great sandwiches, draft beer aand outside seating. Museum downtown had an incredible exhibit of silver animals by an Italian silversmith - take 30 minutes to see it (they close at 5:00 weekdays)!

Making preparations for my trip was a dissaster, and considering my disability, I personally think that booking my trip could have been more accomodating. However, I must admit that the majority of the "HOTEL STAFF" was more than accomodating, friendly and very hospitable. The front desk personel went above and beyond the call of duty to make my stay "A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE". If there was anything that I needed, they were more than willing to provide. I have an electric customized wheelchair and the room was very spacious, clean, warm and cozy. The temperature control unit could be operated by wall or directly on the unit. I rented a King Handicapped Room and everything was accessible from my wheelchair, I was even able to take my wheelchair into the bath/shower area with ease. The maid service was also great. I strongly suggest this hotel(ExtendedStayAmerica-Space Center) to person's with or without disabilities. It was really like "A HOME AWAY FROM HOME" with great amenities such as utensils, pots and pans, dishes, coffee maker, microwave, toaster and a very clean refridgerator. I will definitely be staying here again, so I'd like to personally thank the "HOTEL STAFF" for making my trip "A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE",and for being so knowledgeable about "HUNTSVILLE". Thanks Again. Sincerely, Mr. Cj L. Jones
