Booked directly at the property at a monthly rate, after 30 days staying there the rate was higher than agreed upon and went up without notice during the stay.
Property common areas were dirty and unkept, carpets and furnishings were stained and dirty. Housekeeping service was not delivered as shown.
Stay the heck away from this!!!

An OK place to stay if you get a low rate.

We booked this hotel through a travel web site that did not tell you the name of the hotel until you have paid for the room. Our reason for travel was to return to St. Louis for a friends wedding, since we lived in St. Louis prior to moving to Florida. I got a really good rate, around $27 per night, and since it was in the Westport area I went ahead and booked the rate. Westport is a good area to stay in if you are spending most of your time in the areas out side the city, such as we did. It is very easy to get to the airport if you have an early flight out, such as we did. There are a lot of places to eat in the Westport area, but not a lot of things to do during down time, you have to go elseware (shopping, movies, etc.).
The StudioPlus had a very nice staff working there, but the place needs some help. The hotel is not much to look at. You do not get daily made service, and you have to exchange your towels at the front desk for clean ones. The hotel seemed to have 3 floors, but did not seem to have an elevator. You have to use the stairs in the lobby or the sides fo the building. The room and hallways seemed to have a strange odor, I think a combo of people cooking in their rooms and old age. We bought an airfreshner at a local food market. The room had a few stains on the wallls that seemed to be there for a while. There where areas in the room that you could tell had some repair work done, and the work was not done well. The bed and pillows were not very comfortable. We had asked the front desk for more pillows, and they only had one extra to give us.
The unit did have a refrigerator which was nice to keep drinks and leftovers from dinning out. The unit also had a stove and microwave, but no pots or pans are provided. I asked the fornt desk about it and they said they have some for use if you need it.
For the price, the stay was good. On return visits I will probably look to stay somewhere else, unless they upgrade the place.

First I'll give the good. The hotel is just a very very short drive from WestPort Plaza (few blocks down the road) which is a very nice area. We enjoyed Ozzies restaurant, Funny Bone, and the Trainwreck which is a nightclub with awesome bands/entertainment. WestPort is a great place to just hang out for the whole evening. The staff at the hotel were very customer focused at the front desk. The price was very reasonable. It's set up like a little studio apartment and the room would have potential if it had someone cleaning it that really gave it some tlc. The bed was very comfortable and bedding appeared to be clean. Carpet looked okay.
This was definitely better than a Days Inn, but I probably wouldn't book another stay here.
Okay, now the bad. When we got there, the cleaning supervisor said that she needed to check the rooms before we got our keys. I guess I have higher expectations because it was definitely not the cleanest. If someone was inspecting it before the guest checks in, I really question the cleaning standards because it had a lot of problems (cleanliness wise). The bathroom floor had shoe scuff marks as well as some "yuck" on the wallpaper. Yuck on the wallpaper looked like it had been there for a while. There was also whisker hairs and a lot of dust in the crevices of the cabinets in the bathroom that looked like had been there a while also. The same cabinets were in the kitchen area and those crevices with gunk were present in those as well. (crumbs, dust, etc.) The top of the fridge was covered in dust. The swivel T.V. was covered with dust also. Ring in the bathtub also. Not real sure it had been cleaned.
I would pay a little more and stay somewhere else. For 1 night, it was okay I guess. But I probably won't go back.
