we stayed here one night after flying over from England.
We were quite satisfied with what we got-this is good basic accommodation. The room was clean and had everything you would expect there.
The man on reception was friendly and helpful .
It did smell on the corridor/back stairs and as we stayed Fri night there was no complimentary breakfast but it wasnt a problem as we were only spending one day in Atlanta.
Slept well and the area felt safe and plenty of car parking space.
There was a pool and small gym.
I would not want to stay longer than 2 nights in any 2 star accommodation-you get what you pay for.! If you want more-pay more

I book this hotel because it was in Buckhead. Being that Buckhead is considered a nice area, I assumed the hotel would have nice standards. WRONG!!
The hotel felt like a transient/ construction worker stay hotel. Very cold and uninviting. I didn't feel comfortable. The front desk clerk sent me to a room that hadn't been cleaned. There was pillow stuffing and the room had been trashed. Something she should have known before sending me to it. On my way out the door, I see something scurry across the floor. I didn't wait around to verify. I went back to the desk to get my credit card recomped, and I left that parking lot fast and went to the Embassy Suites.
I do not suggest you stay there unless it is the last hotel in ATL and you dont want to stay outside.

Wow this place is horrible. I can't even rate the interior because I booked it at my corporate rate and then they had a bus full of tourists come in today, and they cancelled my reservation for no reason and gave my rooms to someone paying a higher price. They didn't have a room for me when I arrived, and I had to go to another hotel. Don't book here!

My friend and I spent 4 nights at the Extended Stay – Lenox in October. We normally stay with friends or family, but thought I’d give this hotel a try because we wanted to stay in Buckhead, and near the MARTA. We got an excellent deal using Hotwire. Here’s what we think:
THE GOOD: The location is very good if you're flying in and don't have a car, because it's across the street from the MARTA Oglethorpe/Brookhaven station (Northeast line). Coming from the airport, it takes about 35 minutes to get there and the train runs approx. every 10 minutes, and late into the night. You can take the train to the colleges and most of the tourist attractions – Underground Atlanta, the New World of Coca-Cola, the High Museum of Art, Centennial Olympic Park, the CNN Center, etc. just check out their website.
Kroger (24-hour grocery store) is about a block walk away, so you can fill the in-room fridge. Several restaurants and shops are also in the strip and in the one across the street (which also has a CVS drug store).
The queen room has a pull-out sofa, so you could sleep 3-4 if you needed to, and has a great kitchen, with a large refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker and dishwasher. Supplies for the dishwasher and coffee maker are available from the front desk if needed. The rooms have a DVD player as well, and the TV (only one) has a lot of cable channels.
THE BAD: The room isn't anything special; kind of small, as was the tub/toilet area. The pool was closed for the season, which I suppose begins in October and lasts through January. The weather was nice, but 78 degrees is hot enough for a pool. Although there was an exercise room, it only has 2 treadmills and a bicycle (although it does have a TV), and no free weights.
We had a room at the back of the hotel and could hear the train rumbling by, but that didn't bother us because you couldn’t hear it over the TV and it didn’t last long.
The “continental breakfast” is actually gourmet coffee, plain bagels & cream cheese, and fruit (apples, oranges & bananas). It lasts until 9:30am, and only during the week. This may be fine for some folks, but if I was actually staying here for an “extended stay”, I would have to get more variety by shopping at the grocery store.
THE UGLY: The furniture is just like it’s pictured in other postings and on the hotel’s site – plain and old-looking. The hallway sometimes had a smoky smell, even though it was a non-smoking area of rooms. The d?cor overall is dorm-like – rather sterile, boring and beige.

As others have said, the location of this hotel right across the street from the MARTA stop is ideal. It was great not to have to drive into Atlanta. The rooms (we had 2) were of good size. We did find a dead roach in one bathroom. The big problem was that both refrigerators had ice makers that did not work. We told the manager about them and she said they would "probably" be fixed that day. Unfortunately, they were not fixed when we checked out (we stayed 2 nights). At MY suggestion, the manager did credit us $5/night off of our bill to cover the expense of buying our own bags of ice, which I thought was fair.
