We were planning to drive up to Portland for a long time, so we can say we have been in all west cost of North America!
I start to search for deal just one day before July4th weekend to be able to book last minute deal. However, most hotels at this time were already booked or their prices were not as good as I expected. So I thought we do not have much of luck but just around mid-night I found $100.00 pn in Double Tree Hotel at [--] and I got it.
We stayed in this hotel for two nights and enjoined ourselves and did not spend much of time in our room, except sleeping! The room was really small and out of today' fashion and front desk agents were not very friendly but I found the Concierge of the hotel to be very polite and helpful.
The bar and restaurant were good and the best thing about this hotel is the location as it is located right on MAX, free public transportation line ( best thing about Portland, you can ride in this slow motion bus and see everywhere for free ) and there is a big shopping center next to the hotel.
Over all, for the price we found, it was good.

I was in Portland for a three-day meeting. This hotel was booked by the conference I was attending. It was a basic room with basic amenities. The gym was the best thing about this hotel... new equipment, spacious, and plenty of cardio machines. My room did smell of cigarette smoke. Also, it seems the rooms are about due for a renovation as they are aged and outdated. But, bed was comfy and hotel staff was nice.

We had a pretty good stay at this hotel last week. I was in town for a conference. We stayed on the 13th floor with nice views of the city and Mt. Hood and St. helena. The room was spacious. Very convenient location- MAX stop is right outside and the Lloyd center mall is next outdoors. Plus plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The breakfast was pretty extensive. The rooms are a little outdated but did not bother us. Also, would be nice to have free Internet access like quite a few other hotels. All in all, we had a pleasant stay here.

The hotel is very nice, has a great staff, and great location.
When we arrived at the hotel, my room was right across from the elevator. I immediately requested a room change, because I could constantly hear the elevator bell. The staff changed it with no problem whatsoever.
The room was located on the fifth floor, was very clean, and a good size. The bathroom was also very clean.
The hotel has a coffe stand on the first floor, and a restaurant.
The location of the hotel was great.
