This hotel far exceeded my expectations. The staff was delightful. The restaurant was very good. The only problem was getting into the hotel, as this can only be done from the northbound lanes.

This is my 2nd review. We just stayed at this hotel again.
The front desk clerk gave us a working key and sent us to room 162 when we arrived. Trouble was someone was already IN room 162. Lucky for her she wasn't in the shower when we piled into the room. Imagine if it was someone less scrupulous and the front desk gave them a key to your room!?! When we brought this to their attention, they giggled.
We were to stay 2 nights. They wanted us to move to another room for the 2nd night. We refused. That's ridiculous.
The outlet fell out of the wall in the living room portion of our mini suite.
The doorknob fell off the bathroom door.
They lost my Fed Ex package. I called 4 times. Miraculous 5 seconds before I was to leave for my meeting without my package...they found it. They signed for the package from Fed Ex with a FAKE name (football player).
They have renovated and it looks so much better/cleaner...but still...ouch. Some internal work needs to be done.

I was invited to a holiday party here. We had so much fun. The ballroom was gorgeous and the food was scrumptious. From what I was told, this hotel just finished its renovations! The restaurant is my favorite. It is trendy and the breakfast buffet has so many choices for such a great price. The lobby has a smart and sleek look. The guestrooms are comfortable and look like guestrooms you'd see in a boutique hotel in Miami. The furniture is dark wood with granite countertops. The tax free mall is right next door. The staff is wonderful and accommodating. When I come to the area again, I am definitely staying here. Oh and did I mention you get a warm chocolate chip cookie at check-in?

Not for the average traveler

Traveled here with my employer and realized this place is definitely not geared to budget-conscious travelers. There is a $4.95 charge for internet access for 24-hour period and while the rooms do have their granite counters, etc. they do not have microwaves or fridges (ours didn't anyway). If you don't have vouchers (our boss had them that first morning), a cup of coffee is 1.50. Only one access to Concord Pike and no traffic light.
They definitely prefer the corporate travelers--but if I were a fiscally conservative business, I'd choose the Best Western.

I didn't need internet access so the $5 fee wasn't an issue (not sure it would have been if I needed it, regardless). The lobby was lovely, the staff accomodating, the cookies (as always) delicious. We rented 3 seperate rooms. My room was spacious (I travelled with 3 children) and clean. The bathroom/tub looked like it had never been used, it was so clean. The amenities were nutrigena, not shabby. We had a blast at the pool area (10 kids played there for about 5 hours). The hotel is well situated around places to eat and places to shop (had an emergency trip to the Kohl's across the highway for some forgotten items).
Would recommend to anyone, especially those with children. Oh, yeah, for those who may not want to partake of cookies (yeah, there were a few), fresh fruit was available at anytime in the lobby.
