I stayed at this hotel for 4th of July weekend. It was a nice suite with a full kitchen, living room, room and bathroom. My balacony overeed the capital building which was really nice. One thing I found odd about this hotel is the fact they call you every morning to ask if you want your room clean. One morning they called about 11 and the second morning they called at 8am. I have stayed in ALOT of hotels and never have I had any hotel call me to ask if I want my room clean. I figure it might of been because it was a holiday weekend. So least to say I never had my room service because I was not ready to have my room clean when they called.
they staff is very nice and helpfull and they did bring us towels when we asked, and clean plates for our kitchen.
The hotel is about 15 blocks from the Austin River, which has trails to run in. Its a very pet friendly area. If you have a dog you can have it stay with you at the hotel and go for walks at the Austin River. Also they do allow your dog to get in the river and play.
The hotel is not too far from 6th street and the wearhouse district (night clubs and restaurants). but I wouldn't walk to sixth street with high heels its a walk.

Had a lovely suite with full kitchen, dining table, living area, large bedroom, huge bathroom. I was on 8th floor and both my living room and bedroom had small balconies that looked out onto the Capital dome. Lovely. Room was clean, but furniture looks a little dated. Shower stall/tub really could have used a re-calking. But overall, a nice stay. Clean and plenty of room. Very comfortable bed, lots of pillows. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Only negative is the parking. They have 3 levels of self-parking under the hotel and if you own anything bigger than a mid-size car, it is very tight in and out and parking. Additionally, no matter what level of parking, you will have at least a few stairs to negotiate with luggage to get to the hotel elevator. Self-parking is $12/day. Valet parking IS available for $20. Overall, nice hotel. I would definitely stay here again. (I didn't get a chance to hit the rooftop pool, but saw plenty of folks headed up that way!)

Great location a few blocks from UT campus and only 2 blocks from the capital. We had a 2 bedroom suite which was huge. You can ride the Dillo anywhere downtown for free. Try the Brick Oven restaurant nearby, and of course, Hut's on 6th street. We went to the capital for free and Whole Foods for free - expcept for the gelato.
The pool was perfect for small children because it is only 3 ft. deep!
The restaurant staff was incredibly attentive.
We had a hard time getting a bellhop which saved us tip money. I might stay here again but the prices are too steep. Valet parking is $18 a day and internet is around $10 a day. You could probably find a better deal with all the downtown hotels.
Good Business Hotel

We stayed on the top floor of the Hotel with a view of the Capitol Building. The front room felt a little empty as if a piece of furniture was missing but was a good size. The beds were extremely good and the linens perfect. My only complaint about the room would be that they still have the old type TV's with only a few channels. Also you have to pay for Internet which as a HH Platinum Member seems excessive especially with rates over $230 a night.
Breakfast was good and the service was extremely friendly. All staff went out of their way to say hello. It took me about 10 minutes to walk to the Intercontinental where my convention was being held. I would definitely recommend the hotel if staying for more than one night but if you want to be close to 6th Street there are closer hotels.

The rooms overall at this location would be great for families or extended stays. It is a bit evident that this hotel is somewhat due for a remodel, but overall was a nice facility.
We were in Austin for one night attending a wedding and meeting friends while staying at this location. The hotel is convenient to the downtown, UT, and the capital.
Upon entering the hotel, you are greeted by the friendly staff bellman Ralph who was amazing at customer service. When the valets are slow he was there to help. He was there to help with bags and even remembered our name after checking our bags one time. (We got there early and they did not have the room available.) They do have a habit of trying to pass off a smoking room as non smoking which I find unacceptable as a diamond member as HHonors. The first room had no non smoking signs on the door and was overtly reeking of deodorizer and smoke. They tried to claim the non smoking sign fell off the door, but that is impossible as they are engraved into the room number plate. The second room did not have working air conditioning, but the third room was a charm and well maintained. They offered us free drinks while fixing the room.
The lobby is nice and does not seem to have too much noise roaming into the rooms. They only have two elevators which is a bit lacking to service 15 floors, but not a major inconvenience.
The rooms are nice and spacious - really one bedroom apartment style. Bathroom is off the bedroom, bedroom has a door to close it off as well as a closet and TV. The living room has a Queen Sleeper sofa, TV, work desk, micro, fridge, stove, and wet bar. Rooms have hard wired internet access in the living room, as well as Wireless. The living room has a small balcony that overlooks the capital building. Television reception is very bad and the bathrooms are tiny, so tiny. With the huge room they should have invested a tad more space in the bathroom.
The free breakfast they provided us as HHonors diamond members was nice with typical continental fare as well as eggs, bacon, potatoes, blintzes, and sausage. Nice to have a full breakfast on the house. (If you are not HHonors diamond / gold it is $15 – go elsewhere and get a better meal for half the price.)
There is an outdoor pool, hot tub, and a deck sunning area. The pool always seemed nice. They have a nice workout area with Precor equipment with built in televisions.
Upon returning to the hotel in the evening the parking garage (which is way too small for the size of the hotel) was full. They offered to valet park us, and sadly they just parked it along the street. Quality, at it’s best. I could see our car parked along the street from our room. Given that I made them remove the parking charges from our room! (12 per day in the secured self park lot, 18 per day in valet.)
Overall, what an okay stay, Ralph was a shining star which made our trip. If they had not tried to pull the smoking room over as non smoking, and had parking available this would have been a perfect stay. There are better options closer to the hot spots in downtown for the same money, but I left satisfied. Hopefully the service disconnects were just due to a sold out house.
