After dropping off our luggage and having dinner we returned to our Junior Suite to find out that valuable personal belongings, phones, money were stolen. Neither staff nor management really cared and accused us that we forgot the things in the cab... we wanted to stay four nights in the Junior Suite but decided to leave the hotel asap after what has happened. We never experienced something like that before in a four star hotel. So we can't recommend this hotel at all.

This hotel is most notable for its design but the service at this property is also quite good. Upon arrival, I was offered a glass of champagne and a very personalized and relaxed check in at the hotel cafe / restaurant. Room service and other staff are quick and genuinely friendly. However, given the small number of people on staff there is the potential for slow downs when demand is high.
Rooms are high on design. Styling is a mix of Japanese modern and contemporary European. Rooms are well equipped with technology -- free in-room wireless, wireless phone with direct dial line, i-pod docking station, and DVD player.
Love the Kiehl's ammenities in the bathroom!

Wowed by design, heavy on the pocket.
We love to stay in cosy boutique hotels, and normally opt for hotels with plenty of old-world charm. This hotel is a mile away from that, but with its slick clean lines, amazing design it really wowed us.
All of this comes at a hefty price, and given the location and lack of atmosphere, I'm not sure I can bring myself to recommend it very heartily.
In short, if you're familiar with Paris and know where you're booking to stay (for us we found the location not to be a problem because we have friends in the area, but can see how first time visitors would find it a little out of the way), its a great choice for those that want a superior, design centred experience.
If you're looking for a more traditional Parisian experience, with leisurely breakfasts, a bustling bar and easy access to the central tourist sights, this isn't the place for you.

We stayed here on a package for 4 nights in November. I loved the location of Hotel Sezz in a quiet corner of the 16eme arr. in Paris, but conveniently located near a Metro stop and a short walk across the river from the Tour Eiffel. We felt that we were retreating to our quiet home after a long day of wandering, shopping, and whatever else we got up to.
The hotel itself was clean and the room very "design", but comfortable. I enjoyed the "fireplace" as we entered, which added warmth to an otherwise fairly stark atmosphere. We took advantage of the HUGE two-person tub in our room on the 7th floor and enjoyed the provided robes and slippers afterwards. The Kiehl's toiletries were wonderful. The bed was comfortable, but a bit hard for my taste, and the springs squeaked loudly from time to time. The curtains were a gorgeous heavy fabric that helped us sleep in by blocking out all light.
One thing I did notice was a lot of noise from our neighbors, both as they entered their room (noise from the door) and as they talked (at seemingly normal levels) in their room. As we didn't spend a lot of time in our room, the bother was minimal.
Everything in the ground floor Veuve Cliquot bar is overpriced, and we only once saw anyone sitting there sipping champange (they were hotel guests), but breakfast was served in the same room and we enjoyed the large skylights and comfortable booths. Breakfast was good, though twice my request for a cooked egg was ignored or forgotten until we had already finished eating.
The basement hammam was lovely, peaceful, and quiet, though the water temperature of the small pool was too cool. We had massages arranged by the hotel with the best masseuse I've ever had. And the entire hammam area was reserved for us privately while we had our massages. This was luxurious.
My impression of the hotel was marred by the hit-or-miss service provided by the hotel's concierges. There was one gentleman who provided excellent, timely responses to our requests, and yet with all the others we were left waiting, sometimes for over an hour, for a response to our requests. By email in advance of our trip we made several requests, only to have the people on duty when we arrived to claim no knowledge of what we had already discussed (plans for dinner, etc). They claim to provide one-on-one concierge services for guests throughout their stay, but we must have spoken with at least five different people throughout our stay - and had to fill in the new person with what had already been requested or discussed.
Overall, I'd recommend this hotel for its quiet location, lovely furnishings and design, nice hammam facilities, and comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms.

I visit Paris three times a year and chose the Sezz because it was in the 16th. But for anyone who is visiting Paris for the first time - you should stay closer to the major attractions. NOW. I loved the hotel on sight - beautiful historic facade and wonderful interior decor. I had flown in from Morocco and the concierge said - you look like you need a Champagne. Far from being a disguised "sale" - he gave me one for free. I ordered room service which was prompt and very good. Loved my room with the huge bath, rain head shower, very comfortable bed and plenty of room. But the next morning really sealed the deal. At breakfast was a young American guy who had been thrown out by his girlfriend and had walked to the nearest hotel - the Sezz. Unfortunately, he had accepted a rate but didn't realise breakfast wasn't included until after he had eaten. Not only was he highly distressed but he was a student without much money and had stretched his budget to the max. The manager simply waived the charge. They allow you to use the internet for free and I was catching a late plane and they allowed me to use the shower in the spa at 6pm before my long flight back to Sydney. All the staff were absolutely fabulous and couldn't do enough. A great choice for frequent visitors to Paris and anyone after a romantic weekend.
