Stayed at this hotel after reading previous reviews. However very disappointed. Whilst the hotel is visually stunning and quite luxurious the staff have no idea what customer service is and you have to ask to be served at the bar's as staff stand chatting and you will rarely see any staff smile.
Be preared for the cost of drinks ?8 for a vodka and coke and ?5 for a bottle of corona. they search you coming into the hotel for any drinks or food being brought in.
We were on the half board package at ?826 per person per week and the package sounded like we had our choice of the Buffet (which resembles Butlins cafe) or the 2 a la carte restaurants but at the end of the week to our horror there was an 85% surcharge on the use of the a la carte restuarnats adding another ?400 to our bill for the week. so ?2000 for two people for a week a little expensive.
Also nothing of any interest within walking distance of the hotel and you need to take taxis everywhere. Had a good albeit pricey week and wouldnt rush back.

We stayed at Hotel Su after seeing an article about it. We were not disappointed, our flight was late so we didn't check in until the early hours but they were ready for us and we were in a room very quickly.
The room was great, loved the pink lights, our resident fish, the mirrors and the outdoor bed on the balcony. Amazing view of the sea and the Taurus Mountians.
Hotel Facilites were excellent, beautiful pool with really comfy sun beds and bean bags, free daily towels for the beach and pool. Private stretch of beach with beach bar serving food and coktails (happy hour between 5-6pm, DJ and cool tunes)
Staff were excellent, very firendly and polite. The food at the hotel was exceptional, especially the sushi bar and the 5 Kat restaurant (open air, overlooking the bay on the 5th floor).
The only down side to the hotel is the price of food and drink, especially alcohol. However, we stocked our fridge courtesy of the Migros supermarket over the road.
Antalya itself isn't the livliest of places. Lots of beach bars but very few people in them. Instead we went into the old town and spent 2 great evenings at Vanilla restaurant. Amazing food, run by a great couple (1 English, 1 Turkish). It was some of the best food we had all holiday and would definitely recommend a visit!
Overall - a great relaxing holiday in a stylish and funky setting!

My partner and I stayed at the Hillside Su for 2 weeks in May 2008. For ease we have divided our review into good and bad points:-
Good
• We were staying on a B&B basis and the breakfast was fantastic. There was an enormous selection catering for all cultures and palates.
• The poolside was fresh, clean and tidy. There was never a problem getting a sun lounger. All parasols had a button to press for waiter service for food and drinks which was great as you never had to move!
• The poolside lunch menu was lovely. The food was always fresh and very reasonably priced. A litre of water to purchase by the pool is only ?2.00 a bottle.
• We ate in the Sushi Restaurant, the A La Carte Lounge Restaurant and the 5 Kat Bar and all were fantastic and again reasonably priced.
• All the staff were fantastic - very friendly and attentive. 11 out of 10.
• We paid extra for a suite with a sea view, and the view was fantastic. The suite was spacious – although there was very little storage space (I don’t think anyone has ever stayed for as long as 2 weeks!)
Bad
• The drinks are not expensive, they are EXTORTIONATE! For a bottle of Corona Beer = ?7.00. A Jack Daniels = ?13.00 (without the diet coke!) Turkish wine = ?6.00 for a small glass. We got the impression that people were not drinking because of these crazy prices. Surely it would make more sense to drop the prices and allow people to drink more!
• The hotel needs TLC. Whilst the main exceptionally large lounge/dining/bar area is clean, the hallways to the bedrooms have black carpets which never look like they have been hoovered and are ripped and torn and tired looking in areas.
• The hotel has about 7 large conference rooms catering for conferences. During our 2 week stay there were 4 separate conferences. At these times about 400+ people descend on the hotel and the feeling is that “normal” guests who are there for a holiday are overlooked. At one point a “meeting” was held in the poolside bar area so the music that is normally played was turned off to accommodate the meeting!
• The Maxi Bar in the room is ridiculous. The hotel is hoping people will need toothpaste, tampons, razors etc – but as with the drinks, the prices are very high. On closer inspection, we found the baby oil for sale was best before August 2006, the chocolate in the fridge was best before 2007, as were various other items. You could tell that the items had been in situ for years (yet picked up by everyone who ever stayed in the room!)
• The shop in the hotel is again extortionate. We bought sun tan lotion and were charged approx ?20.00. At a later date the exact same one was on sale in the local shopping centre for ?8.00.
• As mentioned above we had a suite. For the first few days when the maid had been in our room, she left a design of red flower petals on our bed and our hand towels were shaped into swans, or hearts, it really was a beautiful gesture to come in to each day and we thought perhaps this was one of the “perks” of having a suite. However, this stopped after 3 days. We later got speaking to another couple who were staying at the hotel for a week and who informed us they had this flower treatment every day of their stay (and they were in a basic room). We decided to speak to Guest relations as not only had this flower treatment stopped, we felt our maid was getting lazy as our floor was not getting cleaned properly (with the d?cor being all white, hairs stood out a mile!) another day our ashtray was not cleaned, and our drinking glasses were not washed, also complimentary toiletries were not replenished. On speaking to Guest Relations the above was promptly amended and for the remainder of our stay our room was cleaned better and our flower treatment returned. We were of the opinion that as we were staying for 2 weeks our maid got complacent, but can only assume.
• Problem: We asked reception if we could borrow an iron only to be told that if we wanted anything ironed we had to use their laundry facilities. (?5 for 1 shirt!). Items would be collected before 10am and returned within 24 hours. If anyone is like me, I want to decide what I want to wear on the night, iron it, and go out – not plan 24 hours in advance. As we were staying for 2 weeks, and had packed quite a lot, the majority of our clothes needed ironed! Solution: We went to the supermarket at Migros and bought an iron for ?7.00!
• The evening entertainment is rubbish. There is a DJ who plays 6 nights a week but it is constant techno music from 9pm till midnight. There is a local band who play in the 5 Kat Bar a few nights a week, but each time we went there was no atmosphere and about 6 guests which we felt was down to the fact that the drinks were so expensive that people could not afford to drink there.
Points to note:-
• Visit the Sheraton Hotel which is not far from the Su. They have a Sports Bar and Happy Hour each night, so a Corona is only ?3.00!! Also their reception is beautiful and their buffet dinner is worth going to as well.
• A lot of previous reviews mentioned about bringing food/drink into the hotel. Whilst there are notices in the rooms saying this is NOT allowed, we took a rucksack to the shopping centre and returned with beers and crisps for our room. I think so long as you don’t walk through reception with a blatant shopping bag, then they cannot confiscate things.
• Migros Shopping Centre is about a 10 min walk away and the supermarket is really, really cheap.
• The Sanda Day Spa looks like a separate shop in which you have to buy treatments etc but there is an area that has a Hammam, spa, steam, relaxation room that guests can use free of charge. It does not say this anywhere, we found out by “accident” – but it’s beautiful and tranquil so give it a go. There is another steam room and Jacuzzi next to the indoor pool which guests think is the only one, but it’s not!!
To summarise – would WE go back? No. Not because we never liked it, but because it’s a weird hotel and by the end of 2 weeks we were craving the 5 star luxury that you would expect in other hotels, the stark whiteness and constant techno music was too much. There is nothing “Turkish” about the hotel.
Would we recommend it? Yes. But only for a long weekend or maximum of a week. It may be worth checking if a convention is booked in at the same time as you are planning on going, as if there was, and you were only staying for a long weekend, then your pleasure and needs may be overlooked.

Just ended our vacation at Hillside Su Hotel, we are writing a review hoping it could help you.
As you can see in their internet site, it’s a very glamorous hotel.
The room is clean and comfortable. On the bed there are 4 cushions, if you’re not satisfied, you can change them choosing from a menu.
You can change the light colour of your room and balcony: white, pink or red.
What can we say about the food? It’s fantastic!!!
At the Kirmizi restaurant, you find a huge variety of food so it isn’t a problem to find something that you like. There’s always a lot of vegetables, cheeses, breads, meats, sweets…Also there is an organic and veggy buffet. In the restaurant you can’t smoke but at the end of the restaurant on the outside area you can.
At the spa the Turkish bath and steam rooms are free for guests.
There is a room with pc for internet, some books and magazines, darts and billiard and the gym with an indoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi.
The swimming pool is fantastic, there are comfortable mattresses; you can order drink or food by ringing a bell or if you prefer you can go to sit at the bar where you can drink and eat; prices are acceptable except for alcoholics drinks.
Also there is a very quiet area with canopy beds, bean chairs, and hammocks.
The hotel beach is just across the street; there is a bar and a dj in the evening.
The hotel staff members are polite and efficient.
As you can see on the web site, this is a hotel for relax, if you are looking for activity or entertainment you go better go elsewhere!
We loved it, definitely we’d like to go back again!

"Would rather stick pins in my eyes" than visit Hillside POO again.

It is with much regret that i write this review as my Wife and I were really looking forward to our Hillside Su experience.
It all went down hill-side very quickly once we arrived in Turkey, when on arrival we were met by our Airport transfer "Taxi" which wouldn't start so after carefully navigating our luggage into a very small boot we had to do it all over again with another car.
After a 30 min. journey through Beroit we finally arrived at our Hotel. The only things that was missing from the initial look of the Hotel was a dearly departed, "I did it my way" and " Angels " by Robbie Williams, to say it looks like our local Crem is an under statement.
The greating from the reception desk was far from welcoming but we persisted not looking to seem unhappy.
We moved our cases into our " Junior Suite", what a disappointment, i have never seen anything so cheap looking with Terry Toweling over absolutely everything. The breakfasts weren 't that good nor was the pool area. If you are of Russian or German decent then you will fit in fine. The whole Hotel had a very dead feel to it where people spralled about the designer Terry Towlling couches waiting for their early morning flights.
The bars were totally empty as the prices were sky high. My wife and I were 41YTL for two drinks, one Vodka and one Whisky which is roughly ?20.
The Hotel rating should be 2* and the bar prices 5*. These bar prices are more expensive than The Burj Al Arab in Dubai, I know, I have stayed there.
After another day of having nothing to do, as there is nothing and i mean nothing nearby, we went to the local Dolphin show which we were told was free, which wasn't, the best ?36 i have ever spent- not! The Seals were actually very good but one of the two performing dolphins just wasn't in the mood, we both walked out at half time along with some other people. I am very sure that it was a very good show for the little ones but not for two fed up forty somethings, we should of known better, but we just wanted something to do.
After complaining about just about everything to do with Antalya and Hillside Poo to the Thomas Cook local office we were moved to The Concorde Hotel in Lara.
This Hotel was all inclusive and certainly far more livelier than our last experience. There was plenty to do and i felt they were really trying to please everyone on holiday there.
The Concorde is like a massive "Jimmy Choo" sorry " Jimmy Chungs" it should be choo as the food is like old shoe leather.
Jimmy Chungs in Aberdeen is a Chinese Buffet where patrons can eat to their fat weak hearts content and like the Concorde, has been decorated to a high level but you are a number, not a customer nor client, Jimmy say, love you long time, 5 Dolla!
My other concern was that there was nothing to do outwith the resort itself apart from local shops for local people and the necessary fake shoe and handbag shops, (very, very expensive). They did however have very nice genuine copy TRADA Handbags.
I was advised by TC at home to take Turkish Leira, big mistake.
Everything is priced in Euros and if you pay in YTL by cash or card which will be inYTL then the price is nearly doubled.
Everything about Antalya is either really expensive with the locals
who try to be your bestest friend and try and get as much money
from you as they know you will never return or is an absolute con.
The Hillside Su website looks absolutely fantastic, how wrong and misleading could we be.
I wouldn't send my worst enemy to Antalya or Hillside Su but i would send my Book Keeper ( orry Frank )
If anyone who hopefully reads this and has just booked Hillside Su then do yourself a big favour and cancel, book anywhere else,
but not here, anyone who says it can't be that bad is in for a very nasty surprise where the words nasty and cheap are too nice to describe this over rated, voyeuristic Hotel with exuberant Bar prices with no class and no atmosphere.
Would i go back? Are you having an absolute laugh, I would rather stick pins in my eyes than go back to Hillside Poo or Antalya, never ever not even for money, the worst Holiday of my life and yours if you go.
