We stayed 3 nights to finish a weekly business trip in Turkey.
We knew the location of the hotel was not within a touristic district but it is less than 15/20 min by taxi to the Blue Mosque, 5 mn to Dolmaba?e Palace, 15 mn from Ortakoy and 15 mn walk to Taksim Place.
Rooms are stylish and quite big (we booked a corner room).
Staff was nice (even if the restaurant staff do not speak perfectly English we managed to get what we needed) and Front desk was very helpful.
Choices for breakfast are quite simple but sufficient.
Just missing a few amenities in the bathroom (because of restriction from airlines) and as outside is quite noisy difficult to sleep with open windows.

Stylish hotel - good value for money

I stayed at the Bentley as part of a business trip to Istanbul in September 2007, which covered 3 hotels over one week (due to logistical circumstances). Having started my Istanbul stay at the Ciragan Kempinski I expected quite a step down, but I was very positively surprised. I got upgraded to a suite, as the hotel was completely full. This was much nicer than the stuffy room in the Kempinski - with a little kitchen, stereo system etc.
The hotel is modern and stylish, the location is central (but much closer to 'modern' Istanbul, than to the main tourist sights). I didn't have any negative experiences with the staff like other people mention here. The breakfast is a little on the simple side.
Not quite a design hotel....

The Bentley is not quite a 'design hotel' compared to other european hotels.
Generally it was ok but the staff were not the most helpful. On our first day we had no running water (due to maintance of the pipes.) We were not informed of this at all dispite being told that they apparently phoned. We argued that they should at least give us a discount especially for having to use bottled water from the minibar .....but they would have non of it.
Acoustics betweens rooms are very poor. Location was generally ok but shown incorrectly in the 'Tablet Hotel's Website'.
Elegante e discreto
