Wow! My son and I got in the hotel and everyone who worked there was just very nice. They doted on my son and when we checked in, we were told of an evening reception at 5:30 with free drinks-- beer or margaritas, soft drinks, refreshments-- nachos, popcorn, veggies. Since we got there at three, fresh popcorn was starting to pop. There is an indoor/ outdoor pool which is an added plus. The rooms were a decent size and were clean. You needed a key room to enter and exit the parking. There were two computers, fax, printer, scanner, in the business station. There were little sitting areas everywhere. The breakfast consisted of french toast, sausage, biscuit, cereals, fruit, breakfast drinks and soft drinks, Make your own waffles-- a bit trickier than other hotels' make your own waffles because this one had a lot more 'decorative curves,' so watch your waffles! Everything here also seemed clean-- not old and sticky and dirty. The location of this hotel was close to restaurants and fast food, the airport, and downtown and shopping. There is a complimentary shuttle that takes you to the airport and metro. Great, great, great!

I've stayed 2 nights in this hotel.
There is a very good shuttle service, and it takes about 3 minutes from the terminal to the hotel (some minutes more on the way back).
We found friendly people, very comfortable rooms, good breakfast.
Just one thing got wrong... When I got back home I discovered that they made a mistake using my Visa. They refunded me immediately as I called them. Really appreciated their attitude.

We stayed here one night and were told we could leave our truck there while we went out of the country in their "secure" parking area. The truck was there for 2 weeks. When we got back our passenger side window had been bashed in. The Drury apologized and said they were not responsible... go figure.
Anyway, the area of this hotel and others around it is not safe.
They did give us a roll of quarters for us to use so we could vacuum all the glass out of the truck. However, they had not taped the window shut with a trash bag - so who knows how long it sat there and the truck got rained in. Thankfully we had nothing in the truck the thieves could steal. Although they claim the parking area is “secure” it is not.
The one night we stayed here the room was clean and acceptable.

I stayed at the Drury with a group, so I really didn't have a choice in the matter. Others from my group had stayed here the year before and liked it so much that they booked it again this year. The hotel is right next to the airport, but also convenient to downtown - about a 10 minute drive down I-85 or a 20 minute ride on the MARTA. There are restaurants within walking distance. Folks in my group liked Ruby Tuesday and Malones, thought the Waffle House was a decent value, and LOVED the diner just down the road. (Sorry, I can't remember the name but it's on the other side of McDonald's.)
The rooms themselves were decent. We had a king suite, which was a comfortable size. The bedroom was VERY quiet even though we were right next to both a stairwell and an elevator, and there was even very little noise between the bedroom and living room when the door was shut. The bed was comfortable with nice firm-yet-fluffy pillows, but the sofa bed was not very comfortable at all. It was nice having a refrigerator and microwave in the room, but the coffee supplied was the pits. (As it is with most hotels... maybe I'm just picky.) I really liked that the suite had double sinks in the bathroom and a sizeable closet. The room in general was very clean, but there appeared to be some hair dye from a previous occupant that had stained the back of the bathroom door.
Breakfast at the Drury is complementary and has a nice selection of foods. Also, there is a complementary manager's reception from 5 - 7, with free cocktails and snacks and a very laid back atmosphere. The pool was nice - it's half indoors and half outdoors so it can be used in any weather. The kids spent hours there, which is probably why the chlorine content was so high. There is also a hot tub next to the pool and a treadmill room across the hall.
All in all, this was a very pleasant stay. The best thing about this Drury was the staff, who really went out of their way to make sure that everyone in our large group (over 100 of us) was happy. It couldn't have been an easy weekend for them, but they were fantastic!

We spent 2 weeks in the USA and arrived and departed at the Atlanta airport so we needed a hotel suite for the first and last day of our trip that was close to the airport. We booked this one as it had many positive responses and reviews from other members of this website. The price seemed fair for Atlanta and especially the extras like the hot breakfast, free internet access, free one hour long distance phone call and so much more... really appealed to us.
I can say that we were very satisfied with everything here. It was our first time at the Drury Inn and definately will not be the last if we ever fly into Atlanta again. All employees of this hotel were very friendly and professional. Also our suites were clean and spacious and we felt very comfortable staying at this hotel. We have absolutely no complaints and really recommend this hotel to anyone.
About Drury altogether.... After leaving Atlanta, we drove to Nashville and also stayed at the Drury there. Again with the same satisfaction as we had in Atlanta. The Drury Hotels have won us over as new customers if we come again to the USA and stay in cities where Drury is present! We would not hesitate booking rooms again at these hotels!
