Well the location was fine, but the noise could be a problem if you like your windows open.
Standard of the rooms was below average and the furniture and fittings looked tired and cheap.
The photos on the website are misleading to say the least!
I stayed there with my Mum, an 86 year old, active lady, but even she had problems with access into the shower; a high rise bath which she could not step over.
When we arrived, she was booked on the top floor in a single room with a shower cubicle that was set in the eaves.
We eventually sorted this out and were offered a triple room.
Staff were helpful and the room rates were about average for the quality.
Would recommend paying a bit extra to enjoy a better quality of room elsewhere.

This hotel is great value considering the view of the Sacre Coeur.
We had a triple room and while not huge in proportions it was perfectly adequate.
The furnishing are a little tired but everything was clean and the staff were extremely obliging.
It is a perfect distance from the metro and so easy to get to from
Gare du Nord
Yes the lift is small, the bathroom tight, but it is only for sleeping in as the sights hardly warrant being in the room for anything but the smallest amount of time
It is great value - get what you pay for - ask for rooms 34/39/41 if you can as the view is spectacular day and night.

My friends and I booked a single and twin room for one night at the hotel on 26 March. I received a confirmation by e-mail that our booking had been accepted. We turned up at the hotel to find out that it was fully booked. The receptionist then showed us to another hotel - Gerrando - which was round the corner. The hotel was a dump with bare wires hanging everywhere and even holes in the ceiling. The receptionsit there was rude and arrogant and insisted we pay by cash that day rather than by credit card the following morning. My friends were horrified to find out that they had in fact a double bed and not twin beds and the hotel was not able to help when we complained. Overall the experience was terrible. Thank god we were only there for one night.

I booked this hotel via the www.booking.com as it was cheap, had good views and was in an area of Paris i knew fairly well. our flight had been cancelled due to the weather so we arrived a day late, tired having slept in the airport and generally in poor spirits. the receptionist was really nice and said "oh room 32, you have a really nice room". i thought "well your gonna say that arent you". we got to Room 32 and the decor was outdated but the room was more than big enough but we were blown away by the views. the room had a balcony that went right round three sides of the hotel. though the main window sacre coeur was literally 500 meters away and from the other windows the eiffel tower was in the distance. This cheered us up. Apparently Edith Piaf stayed in this room and referred to it in her book. the hotel was an ideal base as was right next to the metro station and the views were magnificent. I would recommend this hotel to everyone except the over picky people that often leave overly negative reviews on sites such as this!!
The staff were very helpful and friendly
