I was misled by the Web site pictures. It looked like a clean and nice place but that was just the front facade of the hotel. It needs a major clean-up. We had to pay for our entire stay immediately upon check-in and now I know why. We bought comet and clorox bleach wipes and sanitized the bathroom and sinks to feel comfortable. I was worried immediately about what we were going to find on the way to the room because the outside doors to the rooms were filthy. The halls and elevators were filthy. The trash can lids looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years. The room was musty and dark. The bathroom was extremely tiny. Everyday we had to call for towels or other amenities. The laundry facility was off the parking lot and the guests that were staying there were sinister looking. I was truthfully a little hesitant to be there alone. We wouldn't even go into the pool - very dirty. Not enough parking spots - every night we had trouble finding a spot. Thank God my cousin was in Myrtle the same week. We drove 15 minutes up the road every day to use their hotel pool and beach front. That is the only thing that saved this vacation. The only thing this hotel has going for it is David, the front desk clerk, very nice and funny.

NIGHTMARE - Stay Somewhere Else! They almost ruined our trip!
Guest name: ljv1975, ljv1975
My fiancee and I had stayed here before - about 5 years ago. We thought it was pretty good then, so decided to book again. It was not at all what we had remembered!
Our room was not ready when we checked in at the check in time so we had to wait after driving 16 hours with an almost 2 year old child. Finally we got into the room. We had a room wit the balcony. There were dead beetles or roaches (some kind of big bugs) on the balcony and they were there the entire stay. No one ever vacummed the sand or bugs from the balcony.
There was black mold along the ceiling in the sitting room and the refrigerator didn't stay too cold. The small couch provided was very hard and uncomfortable. Oh, also the TV reception was very fuzzy and quite annoying to watch. The bathroom was VERY VERY VERY tiny.
A few things came up missing during the stay - nothing major, but still an inconvenience. I don;t know if they just grabbed the things by accident when taking the dirty towels or what.
All in all it would have been ok, but on our last day we returned from the beach to a not on the door. (THIS IS WHEN THINGS GOT REALLY BAD!!)
It said to go and see the front desk. We couldn't get into our room. They had deactivated our key. Here I am with a sleeping toddler who needed a place to lay down and these people have locked me out of my room that had all of our belongings inside.
Turns out, the geniuses had messed up our reservation. They said we had 30 minutes to get our stuff and get out. We tried to explain that we still had 1 more night, but they said no. I CALLED AND MADE THE RESERVATION AND CALLED TO CONFIRM IT 3 TIMES!!!! I called 1 month before our arrival, 2 weeks and 1 week before and our reservation was confirmed. Magically, our reservation didn't include the last night that we HAD ALREADY PAID FOR!!!! (It was also a weekend night, so it was a higher rate.) We had to urry around and pack our stuff. Then, the maid had the nerve to come in and begin changing the sheets and things before we even got all of our stuff packed and loaded into our car. WHAT A TOTAL NIGHTMARE.
We had to search for a room elsewhere so that we could finis out our vacation as planned. The reception desk was not helpful and downright rude throughout the whole ordeal of basically kicking us out. I would never stay here again, For the money it costs you can find nicer accommodations elsewhere. The quality and cleanliness of the rooms has drastically declined since my finacee and I first visited and I can't imagine it's gotten better.
Hated it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, where do I begin? My boyfriend and I looked over and over at the photos provided on the internet. We both agreed that it didnt look that bad and decided to book it. When we arrived the overwhelming smell of the musty hallways was an indication that we had booked a nightmare. The hotel is only 4 floors so we took the stairs to get to our room because the ragedy ass elevator was not an option. When we walked in our room the smell of smoke and mold lingered through the air( by the way we requested a non smoking room). Due to the condition of the room we slept on top of the sheets and bedspread and covered it with a blanket that we luckily brought! Also, we slept on our own pillows( i don't reccommend sleeping on the ones provided). Not once did I go barefoot, even in the shower. Excuse my french but the whole damn bathroom is questionable. To make a very long 3 day stay short story, I will leave you with this advice. BEWARE!!!!!!!!

All in all, it was a good value for the money ($35.99 in late October). My biggest complaint was that the wireless internet was down more than it was up. And on the day I left, no one showed up to work the front desk so no brekkie. Other than that, it was good. Contrary to other reviews, the room was clean and everything was in good working order.

After reading reviews about the Days Inn, I was nervous about staying there. I found nothing wrong with it. The staff was friendly and helpful (our vehicle broke down in the parking lot - David at the front desk gave us a jump). The room was clean, we had plenty of towels and plenty of room (there were 4 of us). It's not fancy but it was nice and the price was nice too.
