My fiancee and I returned home to find that her wedding band was not in any of the suitcases or in the car. When we called to ask if it had been turned in we were told that it hadn't and that there was nothing they could do and that it wouldn't be looked for. Ignorant staff with pathetic customer service. I will be telling everyone I know that travels to Winnipeg to avoid this hotel.

Our hockey team all stayed at this hotel for a weekend tournament. The kids had a great time in the pool and the hospitality room. Our room and a lot of the other rooms were terribly hot and disgusting!! Sooo hot you couldnt breathe or sleep. They had given us fans but that didn't help. We have 4 kids so you can only imagine how it was trying to get kids into bed at nights. Other people also complained about the heat or tried to!! They tried calling the front desk but nobody would answer for about 1/2 hour. The lady finally went down to see why they weren't answering the phones and the girl working the front desk had the phones off the hook!!! Terrible experience and we will never stay there again. Next year we will take our team down the street to the Canad Inns!!!

I work in the hotel business and never in my career have been in such a dumpy hotel. We spent the night have freezing because the heat didn't work, the televison didn't work, the fridge and microwave was filthy, it's probably the worst experience I have ever had. I would never recommend this hotel ever.

I found this hotel not only dumpy looking but also most of the staff ignorant. Not only did we freeze half the night cause of no heat but we were awake the other half of the night from doors slamming. The kids did have a fun time at the pool but I am sure you can find a better hotel at the same price. I will NEVER waste a dime at this hotel again!

We recently had the misfortune of staying at this property, and it was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience we've had in many years. My girlfriend is recovering from knee surgery, so we had booked a queen size bed so as to not cause her discomfort. When we arrived, we found we had one double and when we complained about it, the front desk staff argued with us that it was a queen size bed. We later measured it and found that was in fact 54" wide which is the industry standard for a double bed, not a queen. As there was no alternative room available with 2 beds we were assured that an adjustment would be made to our bill for the "inconvenience". Of course when we checked out, the girl who had given us that assurance wasn't on duty and the fellow who was, said that there was nothing about it on the computer and handed us the bill for the full amount of the stay. There were other minor things which also contributed to the quality of the stay. The hotel was generally very dumpy, with for example, a big piece of carpet torn up in the lobby. The pool exit is into the lobby making for lots of water on the ceramic tiles. The staff leaves the lobby floor soaking wet for hours, making for a slippery and dangerous situation. I'm amazed someone hasn't fallen and injured themselves. You can believe it when we say that Day's Inns will never get another dime of our hard earned money.
