Clean & Comfortable - Value Packed Stay!!

Just spent the last week here at $71/night (tax included).
One of the best budget hotels around. Our 2-queen room was very clean and orderly. The beds were comfortable, 4 pillows on each bed, and no lint on comforter. The washroom was clean as well and the towels were well stocked and not the paper-thin ones either.
The breakfast was okay. Nothing special. I noticed that most people chose cereal and left the bread/donuts/waffle alone. Poor fruit selection as the apples and very ripe bananas were not replaced during my stay. They do keep the tables and serving areas clean.
Swimming pool was good but it's not a lap pool - more configured for kids to goof around in. The hot tub was good, though.
Not the friendliest of staff, but they're not mean either.
5 minute drive to Granite Peak. Located next to a gas station where truckers often rest but this didn't bother me. Conveniently located right off the expressway. Also, right next to a Texas Roadhouse restaurant - very good, moderately priced food and great entertainment as the waitresses at this establishment actually line dance. Within the area is a plethora of stores, including, Walmart, Barnes & Noble, Old Navy, Kohl's, grocers, etc.

A great motel to stay at. The staff was very friendly and the room was in excellent condition. The indoor pool was nice and warm and we enjoyed the morning breakfast they serve. I was there with my husband couple of months back and we enjoyed our overall stay at Days Inn. We didn't have a reservation and went in as a walk in. The front desk person was very friendly and provided us with a good rate to my surprise. I would definately stay at this Days Inn the next time I visit Wausau and do recommend others to stay as well.

I've stayed at the Day's Inn Wausau a handful of times when up skiing at nearby Granite Peak. The hotel is easily located just off the highway, and a mere 5 minute drive to the ski parking lot. Continental breakfast is provided, including a waffle maker, hard boiled eggs, english muffins, cereal, danish, coffee, juice, etc. Very nicely done. The breakfast room is spacious, airy, much nicer than other Day's Inn locations I've stayed at. Vaulted ceiling with large windows (overlooking the parking lot), a big screen television so you can watch the news, a couch, tables/chairs, and a guest computer w/ internet access. Guest rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The pool room is also very nice; vaulted ceiling, cedar-sided walls, and a row of windows. Used the oversized hot tub, which is well-maintained. Hotel was quiet, even when full to capacity on New Year's Eve. Front desk is consistently helpful and friendly.

We have staid to severl Days Inn's in past but this one is the best days Inn we have ever staid. They did a very excellent remodeling we loved the carpet in the room and new pillows that they introduce. The pool temp was excellent and the best part my kids loved was the hot continental breakfast and the fresh cookies they did on fri and sat.

We stopped in Wausau on our way to Mackinac Island for a quick overnight stay. The check in was fine and the rooms were sort of set up in a confusing way. The room was rather large, with a counter w/ microwave and mini-fridge, two beds, and a dresser. You vould teel that the hotel hasnt been remodeled since the 70's at least, but it was a fine stay. The pool was closed but it looked clean and the pool room had a few arcade games. Also on every floor there are vending machines with snacks, pop, and other personal items. I thought that the continental breakfast was really good actually. I think that the only drawback was that it is hard to find and the location is not desirable being stuck in between the freeway and two truckstops.
