It was my first time in Atlanta (Nov 07) and I wanted to be located in the central of downtown. Booked the Days Inn on hotels.com because it was quite cheap. First impression - outdated. The reception staff werent that friendly but the attached restaurant staff are quite friendly and the food was alright. The room I had was spacious and clean, the bed a good size. The parking was expensive. Overall it was ok for the price. Dont think I would stay there again though.

stayed 3 nights here in april.
courteous, helpful staff with great breakfast next door.
we had a huge room on seventh floor, clean if slightly fading.
Ideal base for touring Atlanta, use the MARTA !!! cheap and easy.

This hotel is quite old and shabby, but was clean. But we had a terrible experience. My bed had metal bars sticking out of the bottom which I cut my leg open on. But worst of all our friends next door to us, awoke to find a man in their bathroom stealing money out of their wallets. He came in and retrieved their purses from in between the beds where they were sleeping and rifled through until he found their wallets. When my friend found him in the bathroom he ran out. This happened at 7 AM on a Thursday morning. When we went to check on them we found that our door lock had been broken and that the only thing that kept him out of our room was the chain on the door. Management did come up to our rooms quickly, and said they would call the police. Two hours later we still had not heard again from management or the police. We went down to the front desk and the manager seemed very disinterested. And asked if we wanted her to call the police again. She then gave us an incident report and said we could fill it out "if we wanted to." When we commented on the fact that she didn't seem to be all that concerned about the break in in her hotel she became very rude and told us not to talk about it in front of the other guests. Once the policeman got there he was very helpful and kind. And eventually the head manager showed up and was helpful as well and ended up not charging us for the room. But overall I would I highly reccomend that no one stay in this hotel. It is probable that the money you would save from staying at this hotel could be stolen anyway. So, spend a little more money and stay in a nicer and safer hotel!

I stayed at this hotel during a cheerleading competition weekend (I was there with my children for the competition). There were not too many cheerleaders on our floor and overall it wasn't any nosier than I expected. The girls were in their rooms and quite at a reasonable time.
During out stay, there was an "issue" with one of the other guests and the hotel was locked down. We arrrived back to the hotel shortly after the incident and were not given very much information. Some of the other guests were very upset and it did not appear that their fears were being calmed by the staff, however, we did receive proper attention from the management and their appologies for the chaos and mess going on.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a decient place to stay. It was clean and the staff was very courtous with me and my family.
Side note: The resturant is horrible...service is bad...and the morning we were there...there was no milk!

This hotel was dirt cheap and the location could not have been better. However, the "double" beds were smaller than a traditional full size bed, the hallways were dirty, and the whole place felt like it needed a full remodel. The staff while not rude, were not partiuclarly friendly either. However, if you don't plan to spend a lot of time in your room and you want to be within walking distance from the major downtown attractions, you cannot beat the price. I would not bring children though. Also, I was unimpressed with the food and service at the cafe attached.
