We had booked this as a first and second night stop after arriving from the UK and wanting to give ourselves a day in Denver before collecting our car from the airport on day three. It seemed convenient as there was a courtesy bus to the airport but in reality, it was a mistake.
There is no public transport except the courtesy bus, so to reach downtown you have to get the hotel bus back to the airport, (every 30 minutes if there is room on the hotel bus when you want to travel - or book ahead). Then, pray there is a connection and it is at least a further 30 minutes to reach downtown on the public bus at $10 each way per person. A taxi for 4 of us cost $50 each way and took half an hour from the hotel. We would have been better getting a hotel in the city (we found they have shuttle buses too). We went into Denver and walked around all day because we couldn't "pop back" to the hotel when we wanted a rest.
There is nothing near the hotel except some more hotels and a couple of cheap roadside eating places. They look as though a developer had built them in the hope that, at some time, Denver will expand to where they are in the middle of a field on a road going nowhere. Getting tired after a day walking round Denver, we decided to eat near the hotel, went to the Village Inn and suffered indigestion all night.
As for the hotel - our room had a carpet which had obviously been damaged in places at some time so small offcuts of a different colour had been slotted into the damaged places. Normally I walk around barefoot but the carpet felt gritty, greasy, and there was a spillage of some lotion which had not been cleaned so my shoes stayed on.
The towels were yellowish and frayed - particularly the ones hear the sink which looked as though someone had once mopped up coffee with them and the stains had not come out.
The sheets had not been ironed and were rumpled. I thought someone had used the bed, but it was the same with both beds, and I checked with our friends and they said their sheets were the same. The blanket was thin and the bedspread felt greasy as well.
Breakfast was a typical "help yourself and then throw away the plastic plates" but it was one of the few places which offered some fruit - not a huge choice, but it was fruit.
The staff on the front desk could not have cared if we were there or not. They were more interested in chatting to each other and any interruption was frowned upon. They were abrupt and never thanked us or smiled. They did not tell us about any facilities and it was not until we were checking out that we spotted a retail facility behind the front desk where we could have bought food t heat up in the microwave in the room.
There are other hotels in the road, and if you need a one night near the airport, I would stay in one of the others. If you want to stay for a coupe of nights to get acclimatised, or to visit downtown, then stay in a downtown hotel

We stayed here for our first night of our holiday after landing at Denver from the UK.
We found the staff friendly and helpful - they sorted out a map for us and gave us detailed directions to get out of Denver on our way to Yellowstone - even so we still managed to get lost a few times!
We picked up our hire car at the airport and drove straight to this hotel, where we got some food in the hotel shop and warmed it up in the microwave in our room. The breakfast the next day was great - help yourself buffet style, so we had all we wanted!
We had no comlplaints at all and would recommend this as a place to stay for one night just after arrriving at the airport or before departure/

The best thing about this place was the proximity to the airport and the timely shuttle. We arrived late from overseas and our ride was just pulling up as we walked out the terminal door. Front desk help was efficient, if not very friendly. The room was not cleaned well, as shower and rug were just this side of disgusting. No "Do Not Disturb" or "Clean Room" sign was available to hang on door, no welcome info in room, and internet access is wireless, so it's a bit of a hassle to get connected. The breakfast was paltry, slim pickings to be sure.
There are several other hotels close by, and if you can find a similar rate, I'd try one of those before I'd stay here at the Days Inn.

This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at, and I've stayed at a lot of hotels. The staff were curt and completely unhelpful. The towels in the bathroom were all folded haphazardly, there were long black curly hairs stuck to the wall in the shower, and whoever made the bed obviously didn't know the trick to hospital corners. Every time we woke up in that god-forsaken uncomfortable bed, we found the entire bottom/fitted sheet rolled up in a ball at the edge of the bed and ourselves sleeping on the bare mattress. Plus, the top "bed spread" felt yucky and dirty, so we pulled it off the bed and slept with only the top sheet and the old, thin blanket that was on top of the sheet.
I got a total of four hours of sleep that night because the bed was so uncomfortable. Oh well. I guess you live and learn. Hope you take our experience and head elsewhere when you stay at DIA.

As with all airport hotels you only stay at them when you want to be somewhere else!! There are about 10 hotels in the same hub, so there are plently of options.
I stayed here for one night, and thought it was a pretty good place to stay. The room was really big and had a couch which was a nice change. TV had plently of channels to not be bored.
NOTHING to do here unless you have a car, there are a few places to eat but nothing much so if you don't have a car it's either catch the shuttle to the airport or make do. Don't stay here and expect to see the city, it's too far out. But for the airport it's fantastic.
You need to book the shuttle to the airport as it's shared with 2 other hotels, although I was the only on leaving when I left.
Only downsides were there was no internet access at the hotel, all the others seem to have wireless, so if you want to use your laptop stay somewhere else. Also my toilet was so noisy it sounded like a train, I have no idea where the flush was so noisy but if there was someone else in the room it would wake them up.
Overall it was a great place to stay if you're flying out the next day, there was a 24 hour pool and gym although I didn't use it.
