Sorry, but there is no way that this hotel is 3 star. Staff were friendly enough and it certainly has a very convenient and central location in a quiet road just of the Champs Elysees, but I felt conned by over-inflated reviews. It felt cramped, dark and tatty. Breakfast crockery was chipped ( although the breakfast itself was OK). Our room was very small, although the bed was comfortable - and the bathroom had a very tired look. There was no plug for the basin and the manager couldn't find a replacement. Small details perhaps, but not what you should expect from a 3 star hotel. A one star rating would be much more accurate.

The hotel had little bits of everything - 5 mins walks to the Champs Elysees, a good breakfast, internet usage on the ground floor, good rooms and a warm and friendly staff.

We were disappointed with this hotel - we booked a three star in the hope of a little more luxury than we normally go for (a two star is our normal thing). The room was very pretty - but surprisingly hard to sleep in! This was mainly due to rain banging on the velux window all night - but it would have been better if the window shut properly. Also the plastic sheet wasn't much appreciated!!! In the bathroom there were a few issues, but we got dry towels each day and they topped up the soap and shampoo. Breakfast was nice, but cheaper to go down the road to a bakery and the staff were friendly.

Had everything I would expect for a 3-star in paris. Clean and comfortable. Great location - a 5-minute walk to the Champs-Elysees or to 2 metro stations. Included continental breakfast (not fancy, but good and filling) and free internet access. Only problem was getting the shower temperature to stay constant. Paid 107 Euros per night, booked at venere.com.

After reading the positive reviews, perhaps my expectations were too high, but then again, this is a 3-star hotel. The bathtub faucet dripped, adding a musty odour to the faint cigarette smell of the room. The cheap plastic shower curtain was both much too long and in need of cleaning. In the mornings, the shower brutally switched back and forth between boiling and glacial (although it seemed to be alright in the evening). And the hairdryer was but a hose, which worked in a limping way when the unjoined head was detached from its socket.
In all fairness however, the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, although unable to fix what ailed the room, and the breakfast generous and fresh.
