Using airport so only overnight.
Kept up all night by drunks and kids. Told the reception who didn't do anything. Told the manager in the morning who apologised but didn't look suprised! Breakfast poor

This is actually a days inn hotel. I stayed here for 2 nights in October 2007. Got a good deal through their own website. It was clean, comfortable and for those needing easy / quick access to the city centre it is ideal. The only downside was the parking which you do have to pay extra for, but you can get a discounted hotel rate by getting your ticket stamped by reception. The front of the hotel faces a very busy dual carriageway, but the noise isn't that noticable.
Overall, good value for money.

Stayed at this hotel one night early July for the early flight next morning. First impression of the hotel was very good both exterior and interior. Check-in was relatively smooth. The room we stayed was quite small. I know 3 of us (myself, my husband and teenage daughter) were staying in the same room, but I felt this room was smaller than the ones of other budget hotels like Holiday Inn express, Travelodge etc. under similar situation. We had an evening meal at the hotel. Quite pricy for what they were.
Very understaffed. One girl was doing reception job, taking orders at the bar , serving the meal at the restaurant. She might have been cooking in the kitchen as well! OK hotel, but I am not sure if we will be staying there again.

I often overnight in Luton before travelling back to the States. Having had a dreadful experience at the Hotel Ibis (I wrote a review about it), I decided to try this hotel due to the good reviews it received. I must say that it is a excellent value for the price. It is clean, well staffed, secure and while certainly not luxurious has all the necessities. The beds are very comfortable BUT if you stay here make sure and request a room on the opposite side of the entrance. The street out front can be very noisy. It's not a huge problem but next time I will definitely get a room on the other side. The cab fare into town is not much. One big plus about Luton which is otherwise a pretty drab little place is that it has a large Indian population. Hence, there are MANY excellent Indian restaurants. Most of the cab drivers are Indian, so ask on your way or just ask at the hotel. We went to one just around the corner from the hotel last time and had the best Indian dinner of our lives. Luton doesn't have much to recommend it otherwise, but if you need to overnight there, I suggest staying here rather than one of the hotels next to the airport (which you have to walk to).

Location:
Very close to the city centre and about 15mins walk from station.
Room:
My twin room was very modern and clean with comfy bed and air conditioning. Not overly large, but sufficient for me.
Bathroom:
Very modern and clean. Well fitted with large bath and fantrastic shower. I think there was even a heated, anti-fog mirror!
Bar/Restaurant:
Very nice bar and restaurant area, with large TVs which were showing an England International. Sound was on in the Bar, but off in the Restaurant so as not to annoy diners.
The food was really nice, but slightly pricey. They have an inhouse pizza facility, serving pizzas you can take to your room. Good selection of beer, wine and spirits.
Service:
The staff were very helpful, polite and seemed well trained.
Other:
I think you have to pay for parking in a nearby multistory car park.
The price seemed a little high to me, but then it is near London!
The hotel seemed very popular with pilots and flight crews from the nearby airport. I found it difficult to get a room at short notice. Book in advance - I saw several people turned away from this hotel and was not able to stay here for the full duration of my business in Luton.
I enjoyed my stay in this hotel, but I don't feel it is quite worth the £98 excluding breakfast I paid. I would rather pay £65 to stay at the very acceptable Premier Travel Inn at luton airport, which is only £65 and a £3 taxi ride from the town centre.
I believe this hotel charges high prices due to it's popularity - Like the Premier Travel Inn, it always seems to be full. Given the apparent selection of below average Luton hotels, its easy to see why!
