Checkin/out was fine. Earlier in the year they were very helpful in modifying my reservation without having the rates change.
Room was clean and comfortable. With AC on did not hear anyone.
Lobby area is very picturesque. Waterfalls and large open ceilings make for a nice place to read the paper and have your coffee in the morning (included).
Parking "garage" is partly sheltered, partly not, so you can park protected from the elements.
SUBWAY less than one block away, CVS less than one block away. Mad Mex restaurant (OK) in lobby as well.
You are about 2-3 blocks from College Avenue and the heart of downtown Penn State.
Only complaint that I would have after my family has stayed here about 10-12 times over the last several years is that the rooms seem small compared to comparable rooms at other hotels we have stayed at. Minor complaint though!!
This hotel is also excellent for Arts Fest as it is in the heart of the festival route!!!

The room wasn't bad and the lobby was very nice. The coffee service was great. However, the housekeeping left something to be desired. Upon returning to my room one afternoon, I discovered that the housekeeper didn't bother to move the iron board and iron back to it's orginal place. While I'm on the subject, you might want to bring your own iron as these are horrible and leave water smears all over your clothes. And they don't work. The other issue I had was with a front desk worker. One morning I forgot to remove the "Do not disturb" sign on my door so I asked the woman at the front desk to have it services anyway. After a brief pause so she could communicate her being inconvienced with this request through her glare, she grudingly got on her walkie-talkie and asked for housekeeping to do this. This was the afternoon of May 6th in case any management staff is reading this review.

Stayed at the Days Inn for 2 nights. Lobby of hotel really looked nice. Hotel is clean and so were rooms, but that's where it ends. Stayed on 2nd. floor ( looks like the added on section) and beds were terrible. They sloped and were just so worn. Didn't sleep at all that night, kept sliding down the bed. A/C didn't work properly either. It got really hot in the middle of the night. Went to front desk and requested a different room. He was a little hesitant, but I told him I was not staying in this room another night. Before taking second room I requested I be allowed to see it first, which I did and it was the same as the one I had(this was on the 3rd. floor). Requested a room on the fifth floor and that was better. the A/C worked and the beds didn't slope. Was not compensated at all for the first night and nothing was offered. Met a girl by the ice machine on the fifth floor and she was complaining about the A/C not working also. At one time travelers got comfortable beds, clean rooms and quiet without having to ask. This hotel was definitely not worth the price and would not recommend or stay here again.

I don’t understand any of the negative reviews.
We arrived here and were checked in by a smiling and helpful staff and with the minimum of fuss. Our room was well appointed, and really quiet! We did see the students at the Mexican hangout that forms part of the hotel that evening, but our room was on the otherside of the building and we heard nothing.
There is a liquor outlet right there and an ATM in the hotel.
The business centre had really quick Internet access as well, with 24 hour coffee available in the lobby. The location is ideal to park and walk, with the surrounding blocks buzzing with people. Nice eclectic shopping, and many restaurants and bars to choose from.
There is plenty of parking, and overall I thought this hotel was great value for money.

I found the Days Inn to be perfectly fine. The front desk staff was professional, and I was able to check in early. The room was very clean and had a microwave and fridge. The king bed was comfortable. Free parking is in a small lot adjacent to the hotel. I have no complaints.
