I chose this hotel for a business trip because of the convenient location relative to the premises I was to visit, despite the rather unsavoury neighbourhood.
Unfortunately, after checking in I discovered that the room I was booked in was abysmal. Cracks in the wall, large patches of moisture on the walls, absurdly hard beds. Also, the only source of light above the bed was a naked halogen lamp (!) (I wondered about the danger of ignition from that, so I turned it on as little as possible).
The bathroom was tolerably furnished and cleaned, though.
Overall, despite the rather friendly management this hotel is not fit for human habitation and ought to have been renovated years ago.

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was terrible! The first room they gave us was already used and not 'refreshed' for the next guest. They then gave us another room - this time the bathroom was not even clean! There was hair all over the flöor and there was stuff in the toilet bowl - unflushed! When we requested for the toilet to be cleaned, we got a really insincere 'sorry' and it still wasn't even cleaned thereafter! Good luck trying to have a shower. You'll probably manage to spray water everywhere but yourself. The room was stuffy and overall, old. We requested for a non-smoking room but it was a smoking room anyway, and the whole hotel reeked of smoke. It is also not situated in the best part of town, other than hearing the rattling of trains arriving and leaving the Sudbahnhof right outside your room. Just stay away from this place - especially for the price you would pay for it (we paid Euro 150 for 2 nights)!!!!!
