Thoroughly enjoyable stay at this hotel. Close to the centre of Brugge. Room large and comfortable. You must try the local tavern "Terrastje". Turn right out of hotel walk down the canal path right at the top and its about 25yds on the corner of Genthof.
Good meals at a sensible price... excellent owners Ian and Patricia.
So what with the hotel and the tavern our holidays was a great success.

o.k.
Lets decide what we all want from a city hotel.
Clean , quiet , friendly , comfortable , central location , good breakfast and reasonably priced.
My wife and I have just returned from the Bryghia , having stayed for 3 nights in room 35 (canal view) and in our opinion this hotel
ticks all the boxes.
One tiny little gripe (from the old lady) was the lack of a full length
mirror, perhaps for a few euros one could be fitted to the inside of
the wardrobe door.Just a thought !
We have been to Brugge previously , but for first timers do all the things the guide books recommend , and walk , walk and walk some more.
If you want a recommendation for a restaurant , try the Bistro
Den Huzaar in Vlamingstraat , 5 minutes walk away.

We had a four day stay here in April 2008. As we intended to spend little time in the Hotel we opted for a room without a canal view, in hindsight we think this was a wise choice.
The room was comfortable, clean and of adequate size and was basically what we expected having read the reviews.
Breakfasts were good, and we particularly enjoyed the bread.
The best thing about this Hotel was its location, only 5 minutes from the Market Square, the hub of the City.
Bruges is a lovely City with many fine buildings and the Authorities make huge steps to keep it clean and tidy but there are very many tourists even in off peak times.
