Hotel Discriminates
Guest name: SudburySnake, Sudbury
I live 1 half hour from Sudbury and 2 weeks ago I tried to rent a room as I was attending a X-Mas party but was told that Day's Inn does not rent out rooms to "locals" as they tend to damage the rooms
I have never stayed at that pareticular hotel nor did I ever damage any rooms in any hotels I have stayed at and I spend 48 weeks out of the year on the road. I do not think this kind of discrimination should be tolerated
At least its inexpensive

Well, at least it didnt cost us alot. This Days Inn is located at the more dodgy end of Sudbury's downtown. You can walk to the downtown centre, but i'd drive.
At $100 cdn a nite this hotel is a bargain. There is a decent size pool, although it doesn't open until 10am, so we were unable to use. Also a sauna, by the pool.
Hotel has a small restaurant and barber shop.
We stayed only one night. We had to call the front about a domestic dispute in the room next to us (yelling, cursing, etc...) The matter was dealt with promptly, and the noise ceased.
We had a king bed. [We slept well.] Room had a table two chairs, and in front of the bed was an armoire with 27 inch TV. bathroom was clean.
This hotel is nothing flashy, but inexpensive and clean.

we went for an anniversary get away, and weren't told that the hotel was booked solid with children's hockey. The halls were filled with screaming children, the pool and sauna were filled with screaming children........and the parents stayed up till 3:00 a.m. screaming, drinking and hollering in the hallway. Then when we went for breakfast at Spencer's Bistro at the hotel, we had to listen to the waitresses bitching and complaining about another waitress, and customers of the hotel that they didn't like. Totally unporfessional and unappropriate..Next year I'll stay at a hotel outside of the hockey region. Maybe somewhere with class. For 115.00 a night, we should have been warned.!!!!

Enjoyable and comfortable stay. Staff are friendly and made us feel welcome.Days Inn, Sudbury has done lots of renovations and as such they are on par with all the leading hotels in Sudbury, I would be using Days Inn again and would certainly recommend the property to anyone visiting Sudbury. Good price for rooms.
