I haven't stayed at a Days Inn in many years, if ever, so I can't speak to how this one compares to the average. But I can say it's a little sketchy and not one I'd recommend.
The motel is a 2-story strip located on a commuter road just off the 520 highway. Most of the rooms are on the back side of the motel, which gets dark and remote enough a night that I was concerned about the safety of my car. It just gave me an eery feeling, but nothing happened at all in my 3-day stay.
The room was clean and decent sized, and furnished about as cheaply as possible for an American hotel. The sheets were a little rough, the mattress okay. Internet access (free Wifi) was down the first day, but then worked fine and was only moderately slow. Wakeup service was automated and reliable.
Breakfast, as others have mentioned, is a joke and not worth the trip: coffee and juice, two generic cereals; powdered cake donuts, white bread and English muffins. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful.
It seems like for the money you could find a little nicer looking/located place, although my stay was satisfactory.

We were passing through Augusta and this hotel is convenient for I-20 bypass traffic. It is easy to access from I-20 and there are numerous places to eat and shop just down the street a mile or so. The hotel has rooms with exterior access (we like this as we travel with our inventory and like to keep a close watch). The parking lot appears secure. The hotel is in average condition, a bit aged but kept well enough. The rooms are clean, but could use some updating. There is a fridge, microwave and safe in the room. The internet access is reliable. The breakfast is marginal and not worth going to the lobby for. When we were in the lobby early in the morning the lobby TV was blaring at uncomfortable levels. The only major problem we encountered was the management tried to pad our bill with frivolous charges - just be careful to check your bill - you will have to ask for a bill - as they are not too keen on presenting an actual hard copy. Because of this I definitely would not recommend this hotel. Rate: $45 - 2 people, AARP discount, king.

the beds were ok --comfortable, clean sheets. the room was small, compact. the problem came with the plumbing--it kept getting slower going down in tub and then the toilet. we told the manager and he said a plumber would not be there until that evening and this was early in the morning. he said we could move down 2 doors if we wanted. we moved everything which was alot for 4 people on a 5 day stay. the refrigerator was better in the 2nd room and we actually had
a coffee maker where it was supposed to have been one in the first room. we would try to ask for more towels, but only got a response of "speak no english" "speak no english" and without a smile at that.
we also had ants get in our vehicle while parked in the hotel parking
lot. I went to put my purse in my 2003 expedition, and I saw ants everywhere. I was panicking because we were supposed to pick up a wedding cake and a groom's cake for my cousin --her daughter was getting married and that is why we were in georgia. can you imagine a vehicle full of ants to pick up cakes. we had to spray the vehicle with odorless ant spray and go vacuum the whole vehicle. the ants were covering the cement parking stone in front of our vehicle. i reported this to the girl in the office--the only person i saw the whole time that spoke english. I felt like we were in iraq or somewhere. We enjoyed our visit to augusta georgia but was glad to get away from this hotel. my brother stayed at a days inn on washington rd in georgia and it was entirely different from the one we had. his room was nice and the whole hotel was nice actually. he had no trouble getting service either, and he didn't pay much more that we did for our room. we don't travel that much and that is how we got such a sorry hotel--because we didn't know how to research info. on hotels. But now i do and this won't happen again. I don't think i will consider any of the days inn to stay in next time we need a hotel for fear of getting one like this one. one reason we took this hotel was because we waited until about a week and a half to book it and for 5 days straight was hard to find too many hotels.
we did learn that hard lesson too and that won't happen again either if possible. the continental breakfast was also a joke. i just wished
we had researched this hotel more before making any reservations anywhere. i don't have photos to share---i had a camera with me and i should have thought to take pictures --but i really needed all my memory space for the wedding --not a poor hotel. this days inn was on
wheeler rd in augusta --and like i said the one on washington rd seemed to be better where my brother was. i even asked if we could transfer and pay the difference which was not that much difference and they said no --it could not be done.
