We stayed for a week in the Napoleon, and would say they won us over despite initial concerns. The hotel is situated beside a busy (and noisy) dual carriageway about ten minutes walk from the city walls. We soon decided it was more enjoyable to take the back streets into the town, full of charming well kept gardens. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was clean with a little balcony. Breakfast was a good buffet, with lots of fruit, yoghurt eggs cheese and cereal. Best selling point for us was the complementary bicycles, which we used a lot. This is the best way to get around Lucca and cycling on the wall is a must. The Air Conditioning was poor and noisy but otherwise no complaints. We will go back. Obi and Laz

Just back from a 3 night stay in the Napoleon Lucca, and would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit the city. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the rooms are a bit dated but the cleanliness and the extremely frieindly and helpful staff make up for this. Breakfast was also good. The only down side is the front of the hotel looks out on to a busy road which is quite noisy so ask for a room at the back of the hotel. The city walls are only a short ten minute walk or i would recommend cycling on one of the bikes the hotel has free for guests. The cycle around the city on the walls is a lovely way to spend an hour, and then stop off at one of the great Italian restaurants. Brilliant break.

a one night stay with a rate of 100 Euro inc. breakfast in a double room. Situated on the edge of town on the Pisa side. 10 minutes walk into the old city. The hotel is starting to show it's age (70's ??) but was generally clean and functional. A good breakfast.

Abbiamo soggiornato per 2 notti in questo albergo con i nostri 2 bambini piccoli. L'albergo è buono e le camere sono molto spaziose e pulite. La posizione è però proprio sulla strada principale in uscita dall'autostrada e quindi un pò rumorosa. E' un'ottima base di partenza per visitare Lucca il cui centro è facilmente raggiunginbile a piedi. Il personale è cortese, ma sono disorganizzati per la colazione che comunque è accettabile.
