Good:
~Relatively clean room
~Fridge, coffee pot, microwave and hair dryer
~Beds not fantastic but not terrible either
~Great water pressure in the shower
Bad:
~Icy walkways and office did not seem to care about it
~Fuzzy reception on TV for all cable channels...oddroom.
~Lots of road noise
~Door did not latch properly if you bumped it from the outside then it would open when it was locked. Discovered this at 2 a.m. when some drunk guy from next door fell into our door...management was no where to be found to change rooms so we did not sleep for the rest of the night...but fortunately the baby did.
~Keys did not work the first time we tried to use them for either
~Had to ask office for remotes for the TV
Really Bad:
We booked our stay through Expedia before we left Montana. When we arrived the young gal at the front desk tried to charge us again for rooms we prepaid through Expedia. My husband showed her the email confirmation and she said okay. She then waited until my husband left to get us some dinner, called the room and tried to tell me that we needed to pay for the rooms. I did let her know that we had the email confirmation from Expedia which we gave to her upon arrival. She then said it doesn't matter we would have to pay again. I refused and asked if I could use her computer in the office to log on to Expedia directly and print out the confirmation receipt for her again in front of her for the pre-paid room.

We stayed for one night on our trip from Northern California to Salt Lake City. Though adequate as basic lodging, I would not stay here again. On the plus side, it was cheap, check-in was easy, and TV channel selection was good. The room itself was fairly clean. The breakfast was as expected - cereal, juice, packaged danishes, coffee, milk, etc. Water pressure was good.
On the negative side, it is an old motel, the outside carpeting is dirty, the road noise is excessive. The bed was extremely hard. Though we had a non-smoking room, the room smelled strongly of stale smoke. The coffee maker had not been cleaned. The receipt and room had different checkout times.

As a German I just want to say that the Days Inn Motel was really great. The Old Lady at the Reception Desk was really nice. I appreciated the Free Internet Service, so I was able to check my Mails and to Stay in Contact with my Friends in Switzerland and Family in Germany. Breakfast was not really a Big Deal but it was good enough to be satisfied for the day. Also the fresh fruits.
The Rooms are simple and Easy Made, a little bit "old Styled" But good for the Price! I also leased a Wireless Network Card which worked fine with my Notebook. (20$ Deposit is acceptable).

Average Days Inn

We stayed at the Days Inn in Elko overnight from Feb 7 to the 8th (2005), as a stopover on the way to visit family in Utah. We were in room #110. This was our second time staying at this place, and we really like it. It's nothing fancy, but the rooms are very clean and comfortable, and everything was in great shape, with no signs of excessive wear. In addition to the usual hair dryer and iron, there was a fridge and a microwave. The continental breakfast was nothing fancy, but it was good, and the guy at the front desk was really nice. This is a great place to rest after a long day on the road.
There is a museum and a park right across the street, which is a plus if you're traveling with kids.
