This property overcharged my credit card and after many phone calls to management and never a returned call, I called DAY'S INN Customer Care. I opened a complaint case and waited an additional 7 business days. I called back to DAY'S INN Customer Care and was promised a refund check in 14 business days. The staff at this property has repeatedly lied about promised return phone calls and refunds.

Good price. Clean enough. Easy access from parking. Ample space and furnishings. Folks were friendly. I used this motel at a time when all hotels and motels in san Angelo were maxed out due to the FLSD/Polygamist fiasco. I expected big problems, but it was fine all around.

While staying at the Days Inn, I thought that the room was overall ok. I immediately had to clean the bathroom as the floor was dirty and the tub needed scrubbing. Although this was somewhat of a discomfort I felt that before I could bath I had to make sure that the bathroom was clean.
Again, this was just a nuisance, what I left with was what is still bothering me - bed bug bites!!!!! I have showered and thrown away my luggage, washed all of my clothes, but this still does not give me any peace with these RED bite marks around my face, on my neck , arms and in my hair! They itch and at painful! I am going to the Doctor tomorrow as when I came home it was on the weekend! Although the Inn was comparable to others, there wasn't a refrigerator or a microwave in the room, which would have been helpful. Some of the staff was helpful while others were not able to provide simple locating information.
If you do travel, please look for the signs of bed bugs, which I did not but will do so in the future before I take my bags in the room!

This facility was recommended by the committee that had organized our church's 100th Anniversary. I phoned Days Inn in San Angelo twice to inquire about the facility and to place my reservation. After traveling 8 hours from Houston, my family and I arrived and found out that our reservation had been cancelled since there was a violin competition in town!!!

I had to spend a week at Goodfellow AFB and needed a good place to stay. Unfortunately, none of the hotel chains that I usually use offer rooms at per diem. So I chose to stay at the Days Inn. It was the highest rated motel in San Angelo that offered rooms at less than per diem -- even after taking a room with a fridge and a microwave.
The room was a little larger than normal. The furnishings were functional, but showing a little wear. The maid service was excellent; they kept the room clean and well stocked with personal items (shampoo, conditioner, soap, towels, etc).
The motel boasts free high speed internet, but the wireless signal was weak to non-existent the whole week. I finally mentioned it to the front desk and they gave me a Cat 5 cable -- there are cable connections in each room. I just didn't know it because the connection was hiding behind the drawers.
If you pick up a coupon at the front desk, you can have a free breakfast at Roxie's, a 50's themed diner next to the motel. But the choices there are limited -- three versions of eggs. If you want something else, you'll have to pay. I had the ham and cheese omelet most mornings. It was quite tasty and filled me up. It was also quick; Roxie had it on my table within five minutes of taking my order.
Unless you have business on the base, I don't know why you would choose to stay here. There really isn't anything else nearby. You have to drive a few miles to find a fast food restaurant -- they are all located near the university and near Sunset Mall. However, there is a "Town and County" right up the road where you can purchase some snacks and a local newspaper (the hotel has USA Today for free next to the front desk).
The motel guidebook says that they offer dry cleaning and they even provide you with a bag to put your clothes in. But when I turned in my clothes one morning, I found they were still at the front desk when I arrived back in the afternoon. It turns out that the motel does not offer dry cleaning at all. But they do have some pay washers and dryers for you to use.
The last thing I'll mention is that the beds are extremely comfortable. I often wake up with back aches when I am at home. But not once did that happen to me the week I spent at the Days Inn in San Angelo. While it's not on par with the more expensive hotels, the Days Inn was definitely a value for the price I paid. I will stay there again.
