Excellent location expecially with the patiserie on the corner. Rooms are small and you have to hold the shower head. Not what youd expect for EUR150, should be more like EUR110. Rguby world cup I guess.

My significant other and I have stayed at Hotel Stella many times. Note - there are two Hotel Stellas in Paris (one is a hostel - not where we stay), the other is a three star hotel on Avenue Carnot, a block away from the Arc de Triomphe - this is where you want to stay. My first time there was in May. There is a small lobby with a bar, a computer offering internet access and comfortable occasional chairs done in burgundy with books available to borrow (in French and English). The elevator is to your left. I would highly recommend that you reserve a room above the first floor otherwise you will hear people entering the elevator all day and night. The rooms are decently sized (for Paris), very clean, with flat screen satellite TVs, minibar, small armoire, desk and full-sized bathrooms (this is a big deal). All bathrooms have full sized baths (but with those annoying half glass doors) and hand-held showers. My biggest pet peeve is the lack of storage (especially if you pack alot). If you can, ask for a room that looks onto Avenue Carnot - at night you can see the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. Oh, and the Air France airport shuttle (available to anyone) costs $11.00 (usd) round trip and drops you off a block away from the hotel. It's a great little hotel.
