We stayed here four years ago and really enjoyed the experience,We decided to return this year as part of our visit to the area. Our bedroom was fine but slightly "tired". We needed to access the internet and although access was problematic the member of staff was very helpful and we sorted out our task.
The main problem was the restaurant, the food was just too rich and overpowering. The main course of kidneys was a huge plate of kidneys with a small dish of of extremely heavy mashed potatoe. Fellow diners complained bitterly about the veal dish they had received.
The following morning we decided not to bother with breakfast and on checking out the reception staff was far too busy talking to her friend to either adress us or even to give any eye contact. We will not return.

Very nice hotel with a pleasant pool.
Restaurant was excellent.
Reception was very helpful with the luggages.
Inside the hotel grounds, you feel like miles away from the surrondings.
A plus is also the proximity (1km) of a large shopping mall.

La Villa Duflot Pepignan is a lovely hotel but a little too far out of town if you do not have a car. As stated in previous reviews it is loacted on a busy road but the noise of the traffic was drowned out by the lovely trees and gardens they have.
The food was lovely especially by the outdoor pool at night. I would recommend it for older aged couples not so much young people as it is about 20 mins from the centre of town. You can catch a bus about 10 mins walk from the hotel. There is a big shopping centre very near the villa. If you are thinking of visiting perpignan make sure you are there for carnival night every thurs - very entertaining!!

La Villa Du Flot - hig price, poor performance

We stayed and dined at The Du Flot in december 2005.
The place is not what we expected. A hotel embedded in a highway hell, shielded by som threes.
The restaurant is of (with european standards) highly average. The food created of fantastic 1980ties creations swinmming in fat. Carpaccio drowned in "Harrys Bar sauce" topped with a LOAD of rocket. Fish hopelessly overcooked. The meat fine, so fine it send us right back to the 70ties childhood materchefs creations of France. No creativity, no excitement. Big price, poor performance.
The rooms were so cold we stayed under our blankets at all time in the room. Heating?
To sum it up:
if you have a Euro or two to waste, no real interest in food, but want to spend a night in Perpignan; VISIT THE DU FLOT.
PS: Perpignan is a fantastic town, go see it.
