I stayed at the Royal Canadian for two night in April 2008 (anyone in Alberta at that time may remember the huge freak blizzard- it was that weekend), and the entire stay was outstanding. I had a deluxe room on the first floor, and while there was no view to speak of (it looked onto the main street), the room itself was beautiful, with high ceilings, a fireplace, sitting area, and a luxurious bathroom with huge walk-in shower and deep, jetted bathtub. I also liked the iPod-ready alarm clocks that allowed me to play music from my iPod in the room.
I had originally booked for only one night, but when the storm was too severe where I was heading next, I asked if they could acccommodate me another night. The staff were extremely helpful in arranging a second night?s stay for me, and even looked up highway forecasts without me asking.
The concierge was unerringly friendly, remembering my name and greeting me each time I entered or left the hotel, and I also loved that my car?s windshield was cleaned each morning in the parkade.
All in all, a lovely stay.

The hotel was amazing in every capacity - beautiful, elegant and clean rooms, friendly staff, central location. We are very particular about clean bathrooms - and this place was impeccable. The decor of the hotel is lovely, the rooms are really gorgeous and the hotel was part of our memorable stay in Banff. The staff all remembered our names and were very obliging to help with anything we needed.
After a long day of hiking, we would relax in the jacuzzi and pool before doing anything else, an added bonus to the already beautiful stay.
One of the best places we have stayed at and recommend it to anybody visiting Banff.

A great weekend get away with a small group. Excellent help with coordinating the arrangements via email prior to arrival. Once there, the friendly and helpful staff were always attentive to our needs. The concierge Aaron and at the reception, Eliza, were terrific. The room was large, clean and quiet. Sunday brunch was just right then off for a refreshing walk.

The Delta Royal Canadian Lodge was all I could have asked for, and more. Stayed for 4 days over the holiday long weekend and I found it to be exceptional. Comfortable beds, spacious and clean rooms -- had a view of the mountains and a gas fireplace. I can not say enough good things about the attentive and friendly staff -- even after I checked out, while sitting outside waiting for the shuttle, the concierge came out to ask if I'd like a cup of coffee while I waited.
The hotel is about a four block walk from downtown (10 to 15 minute walk), so keep that in mind.

We stayed at this wonderfull hotel for 3 nights at the start of a coach tour of the Rockies with Titan Tours. Everything about this hotel is wonderfull, the rooms are so comfortable and spacious and the bathrooms which are like a walk in dressingroom and bathroom. There were fluffy bathrobes, wonderfull breakfasts, friendly staff but the memorable moment has to be sitting in the dining room with a marvellous dinner watching the snow falling as it got dark, we didnt expect snow in May but we got it! Hubby had Bison and it melted in your mouth! Would love to come back to this hotel. Banff itself is delightfull and only a 5 minute walk downtown, lots of lovely places to eat near the hotel as well, try The Keg for Steak canadian style.
