Completely agree with the other reviews, you get what you pay for. The hotel is a little shabby but kept clean. The room we had had 2 beds and was a decent size. The shower was interesting, as the bathtub was pretty high off the ground so it was a challenge to get in and out without falling. Also, the only outlet in the bathroom was up on top of the light fixture. With the adapter and the large hairdryer plug the hairdryer could not be plugged in in the bathroom. They only gave us 2 towels and since we had 4 people we asked for more. One man at the desk gave them to us without a problem, the next night the guy at the desk didn't want to but he did anyways. No washcloths and very little toilet paper. Staff was friendly and most spoke enough English that we could communicate well. Breakfast was an extra 7 Euros per person and only consisted of toast, yogurt, croissants, butter, & honey. We never bought it so I can't comment on the taste. The neighborhood is very cute. We stayed for 5 days and got to know it fairly well. There is a McDonalds and the metro right down the way. It is busy around there all the time. We went out early and came in late and never felt uncomfortable. We would stay there again. Also, the stairs are not so narrow you can't get your luggage through. They are steep and the first floor is on the second level so you definitely will be on an upper floor. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.

I think you must remember what you are paying to stay here we paid 70 Euros for the night. Were able to check in at 11.30 when our confirmation said 2pm so very happy. Very clean rooms, nothing offensive. Bathrooms are fine and towels etc all v. clean and newish. No hairdryer and lack of bog roll! Flat screen Tv's were a surprise.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. the comment about getting suitcases up the stairs is very valid - this would not be possible so only stay if you have a smallish backpack.
In terms of location, perfect - just two stops from Bastille which is linked to line 1 running straight through the heart of the city. Residential neighbourhood felt very safe.
Only downside was that there is no fan and it was very hot in roon. Had to leave window open and whilst was quite noisey managed to sleep through.
This place is great if you are just going to do lots of sightseeing and spending little time in the room.

We stayed there this summer and loved it. We stayed in a Quad roon and were happy with the overall size, cleanliness, staff and safety. Close to Bastille metro and accessible to eateries. The staff was very helpful and spoke English. Special mention for Mary - who was always the most helpful. For business I stay in major 4-star hotels, in the US and around the world, but enjoyed this personalized small hotel feel for this vacation. Highly recommended.
