Hotel is under "renovation". When we arrived, the front desk claimed the non-working elevator hadn't been worked on in two weeks, and no work was done during our week there. The computer in the laundry center was out of commission, our room was hot, the fridge was warm, the wireless internet was out, and our room had no toilet seat. Complaints got us relocated across the hall. Though the front desk claimed the internet was down around town, elsewhere the internet was working. After three days the wireless router was fixed. Pool, hot tub, and workout room were so so, could be cleaner, and workout room was overwhelmed with chlorine smell.
The rooms were decent once cooled, the fridge worked once adjusted, the lobby was very comfortable for our group to socialize, and the location was great. Chile's bike shop and market next door were top notch, and the location is very convenient to Slickrock trail, the mill creek swimming hole, and other activities. Breakfast was pretty decent, waffles, some cereals, bran muffin, some type of eggs, ok coffee, and good staff attending it. Cleaning crew did a great job with our room, and they were very pleasant.
Overall, a good stay, a little attention (or more attention) to detail would improve to 3 or 3.5 stars. If they ever fix the elevator, all the better (its only two floors, but being upstairs for my parents was unreasonable).

The greatest

This hotel was one of the greatest hotels i have ever stayed in. Lets start right at the beginning. Upon calling the hotel clerk who was obviously way overstreched due to jeep safari was very courtious and helpful! then upon arrival the next day the front desk clerk had a lobby full of people to check in and he got everyone and us all checked in about 10 to 15 minutes. once we got into our room which was a double queen suite one of our light bulbs were burnt out we called down to the desk and it was replaced in one mintues time. We were very pleased with this. the room was overly spacious and the T.V. was bigger than normal hotel t.v.s the bathroom was overly adequate to our needs the room had a wonderful fridge and microwave that proved useful and we had a wonderful 3 night stay. Next the pool. Although the pool was green we had come to find out it was because of the standard level of chlorine as dictated by the health department so it was wonderful to hear that they were thinking of our saftey first. The hot tub was just the perfect temperature and the entire pool area was clean and just perfect. The fitness center helped me keep up with my daily running and lifting activities and was very useful and had well running machines. I had looked at the previous reviews before booking this hotel and i was way skeptical of making the reservation. but after staying here i have no idea what the people who are writing these horrible reviews are talking about. This place is better than most. Those people with sour reviews must have done something to recieve the treatment that they got if they even got the bad treatment at all because from what i have seen and experienced this place is nothing but gracious courtious clean helpful caring and just an all around wonderful hotel to stay in!!!

We spent two nights at Comfort Suites in Moab, Utah during a 4-corners road trip in mid-December. A sign at the entrance announced that this was a "Smoke-Free" hotel. Being the week before Christmas, the lobby was decorated for the season with a trimmed Christmas tree with wrapped gifts underneath, the warm glow from the fire in the fireplace, and classic Christmas music overhead. We had two queen beds in a suite that had fresh southwest decor. The room was warm and comfortable---great to come back to after cold outdoor activities in December! Hot & cold continental breakfast provided fresh scrambled eggs and meat trays, self-made waffles, biscuits and gravy, an array of bagels, muffins, and cereals, and an assortment of hots & cold drinks. We were able to get AAA rate in the $70 range/night (off-season Dec). Can't get any better than this!

For st arters, this is not a suite hotel - it's a bedroom area with a sitting area separated by a low wall. Our first room, on the first floor, featured a roaring water noise, as if someone were taking a shower behind the wall. That came and went, but was followed by the sink not draining. The front desk, manned by only one obviously overstretched person, was sympathetic but she indicated that she could not fix it, nor could she call anyone in. We asked for a second room and were given one on the second floor, not the best of situations considering that there is no elevator and one of our party had recently had knee-replacement surgery. That room reeked of cigar smoke and the bathroom light was out. When we mentioned the odor, we were treated to a surprised look and the solemn pronouncement, "But that's a non-smoking room!" Upon asking about the light problem, the second clerk, who was asleep when we approached, quickly made it clear that it wasn't really his problem. Then, asked about the lack of an elevator, he "explained" that the hotel was 10 years old and that, besides, "We don't get many ... " At least he had the sense to realize that there was no way to save THAT sentence. The next morning, it also became clear that the outside door closest to the rooms, which should open only through a key insertion, was in fact unlocked all night. All in all, a very disappointing experience for nearly $100. I would think that Choice Hotels would want to give serious thought to striking this facility from their national offering.

We read some of the iffy reviews and were a little worried. We inadvertently had planned our vacation during Jeep Safari, and Moab was quite crowded. But this hotel was very much able to handle the full house, so all was well. The room was fine, with fridge and microwave, reasonably clean and quiet.
