Visited for weekend to celebrate wedding anniversary. Not a good start to trip as we had originally booked the Hotel Reppublica Marinara, but upon our arrival they informed us that due to problems with the water supply we had been booked into the AC Hotel Pisa as an alternative. We were pleasantly surprised by the boutique feel to the AC Hotel Pisa. It is more a business hotel than a tourist one, given that it's a good walk to the attractions of Pisa, but if you are relatively fit and have the time, it's not a bad walk. The room was comfortable, very chic and the free mini bar with soft drinks was an added bonus. The buffet breakfast was included and was very good. We did Pisa in one day, then had breakfast and an early start on the second day for a very easy, clean train journey to Florence for the day. Would definitely recommend Italian train service! Only complaint about the hotel is the lack of air conditioning - our room was very warm, and having the window open was very noisy due to the proximity of a fairly main road.

Very nice hotel. Looks great, the minimalistic style, loved it! I booked a room through hotels.com, at it said that the staff was multilingual. But the lady at the desk did not speak english very well. Very hard to understand and it caused a lot of confusions. Not exactly what you want after a long day on the (italian) roads, and check-in at 8 pm. In the room there was a nice little metallic-wrapped book, telling you about the hotel. Restaurant was supposed to be open every evenling. Great was the dissappiontment, when we arrived there at 8.30 pm, just to find out that it was closed for the weekend (it said to be open from 7.30-11 pm sat+sun). General service and friendliness was not that great. "Here's the key, 4th floor, bye". Ehm, and where's the elevator? "There, there!" (pointing) From the centre of Pisa it took me 2 hours(!) to find the hotel by car! I even drove with sat-nav. Had to ask a bunch of people on the way, but hardly anyone understands english. Location to the Pisa Airport (GG) is good. Took about 6 minutes to drive by car in the early morning hours.

Sono stato in questo albergo nel giugno 2006 con una temperatura esterna di 40 gradi. L'aria condizionata funzionava però per pochissime ore al giorno e le stanze erano caldissime. A seguito delle proteste mi hanno detto inizialmente che l'impianto aveva problemi per poi confessarmi che era la politica dell'hotel risparmiare energia sull'aria condizionata. Dopo una calda notte insonne, con la finestra aperta e la compagnia delle zanzare, ho cambiato albergo e finalmente la mia vacanza è ricominciata. Prima di prenotare chiedere per quante al giorno ore funziona l'aria condizionata.

Leider ist dieses Hotel ausschließlich auf Geschäftsreisende ausgerichtet, und nicht auf Touristen. Ich muss fairerweise sagen, dass es im Hinblick auf Sauberkeit und Design nichts am Hotel zu bemängeln gibt. Aber wenn Sie zu Ihrem privaten Vergnügen hier sind und nicht aus geschäftlichen Gründen, seien Sie gewarnt!! Das Hotel ist ca. 6 km vom Turm und den üblichen Sehenswürdigkeiten entfernt, und gute 4 km vom Zentrum von Pisa. Die Linie Nr. 9 hält in der Nähe, und vielleicht haben wir einen Fehler gemacht, als wir bei 40° Hitze zu Fuß nach Pisa gelaufen sind! Das Essen im Hotel ist unverschämt teuer, aber wenigstens gibt es eine kostenlose Minibar (nur alkoholfreie Getränke/Wasser).

Sfortunatamente questo albergo è completamente mirato a viaggiatori d’affari e non a turisti. Non si può criticare in quanto a pulizia e design. Ma attenzione se intendete usare l’albergo per turismo: è a circa sei chilometri dalla torre di Pisa e a quattro dal centro. L’autobus numero 9 ferma vicino all’albergo ed è bene prenderlo quando a Pisa ci sono 40°. Il cibo ha prezzi da capogiro anche se c’è il vantaggio di avere un minibar gratuito (solo acqua e bibite analcoliche).
