This hotel was great for us and could not be faulted. Located very central to all things in the centre of Moscow, the staff spoke perfect english and were very pleasant and helpful in giving us directions etc.
After reading previous reviews of this hotel I was aware of the extras they might charge and while internet was an expensive extra in the room (wireless in foyer also) the staff let me know that I could check my email in their business room for no price which was good of them. The gym and room facilities were also excellent and the Marriott beds were excellent.
While we got a really good price I saw the rack rate for staying at the hotel and after my jaw got back into place, I realised how good a deal we had got.
Therefore Great hotel, if the price is right...

Unfortunately my business colleague and I were very disorganised due to a constantly changing schedule which resulted in us trying to book our hotel from the airport. We called the hotel and were quoted a price which was acceptable but they refused to take a booking over the phone and insisted that we come to the hotel directly. Upon arrival a different price was quoted. As it was cold and wet we accepted and requested room upgrades as a gesture of good will.
Although I was provided with an upgrade they declined to upgrade my colleague which I thought was very poor show. Having said that there was very little difference between standard and deluxe.
Upon my check-out the following day, the room price had increased again ! After vehemently complaining it was agreed that I be charged the agreed rate. It was agreed that the same would apply to my colleague who remained a further night in the hotel. However, he was subsequently collared in the late evening and told that he would have to accept the higher price or leave !
Hotel staff spoke very good English unless you were complaining when they didn't seem to understand anything. The concierege was mostly nowhere to be found and, when the hotel assisted in getting a taxi, double the normal rate was being quoted.
I have stayed in Courtyard's in many different countries and find that they represent excellent value for money. However in this instance avoid this hotel like the plague. You can find a lot better for the same sort of money.

Love the location. Just a 15 minute walk to the Red Square. We also felt very safe walking about in this area at night. The hotel staff speaks wonderful English and seemed to bend over backward to assist us. This is unheard of in Russia. This hotel is geared for the business traveller, with meeting rooms and a conference center. The rooms only come with a queen or 2 twin beds. rooms were very clean and comfortable. The hotel provides free coffee and tea in the morning. For breakfast I would recommend one of 3 coffee shops within 2 blocks of the hotel. Also one of the coffee shops offers free internet service. Very similiar to Starbucks. Internet at hotel was $50 for the day. There is also a grocery store located 1 block away.
Again, an EXCELLENT staff.
