Disappointing Courtyard

This hotel is old and badly in need of renovating. The price is extremely high for the poor quality, not to mention that breakfast is not included. I ran off with a box of cereal after no one was around to ring me up near the buffet. The beds were extremely thin and definitely not Marriott quality. The workout equipment has not been updated or maintained in years and should be thrown away. We checked out after 2 nights and moved to the SpringHill Suites which was next door. Fortunately, the Springhill was a very pleasant experience.

I've become a big fan of Courtyards in the past year or so - picking them over full service Marriotts very often while on work. However, this property seems to have misplaced the memo suggesting it upgrade.
Not only was it old and musty, but the whole property had the air of some cheap motel. While the check in process was depressing with an equally unenthusiastic person behind the counter, the room managed to beat that experience outright. The in-room AC/heating unit made such a racket, that I could barely hear the TV. The bed was lumpy and sagged a lot at the ends. The bathroom was rather basic.... OK, I've made my point.
Next time, if you're completely hard up for accomodations, as I was given the last min booking, stay at a Motel 6 over this one... I'm sure the experience couldn't get any worse.

This Courtyard is old, musty, needs new carpet and complete renovation. The mattresses are thin and the sheets are poor quality. Breakfast is not included, very limited workout room, and the business center only has a printer - no computer.
The staff is friendly and helpful here, but Dallas has better choices.
It is located near Pappasito's, Pappa's BBQ, and Pappadeaux, but several miles to good shopping.
