I must admit, after reading a few of the reviews, I was a little nervous about staying at this hotel. However, I was pleasantly surprised that my hotel stay was perfect. We were attending a concert at the Nationwide Arena and this hotel is within walking distance. They only have valet parking which I used and the guys were very friendly and quick. I did see a few parking garages on the same street that could have been used. However, valet was only $15 which could not have been much more that what an overnight garage rate would have been. Front desk personnel were very courteous, friendly, & helpful. My room was exactly as it appeared on their website. Everything was new in our room, bed was very comfortable, tv was nice. We didn't have a chance to use the pool or eat the breakfast, so unfortunately I cannot comment on those. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again.

I stay in hotels a lot, about 200+ nights per year, and I have come to columbus many times. The staff is really friendly, the place is being updated. They have nice new TV's, a heated indoor swimming pool & hot tub, free high speed and a fitness center. Did I mention the staff, very complete hotel, and it is very convenient and has Morton's just around the corner. I honestly can't say enough good about everyone here.

We stayed here on July 3rd so we didn't have to worry about getting out of downtown after the fireworks show. We were able to valet park for $15-- a good deal considering most surface lost wanted $10 that day. The hotel room had a small but useable refrigerator and mirowave. The two beds were clean and comfortable. We were able to check in early--11:30--and proceeded to walk downtown to see the festivities during the day. The walk back took only ten to fifteen minutes despite the crowd of hundred of thousands. I had gotten a discounted rate, but the discounted rate did not include the breakfast buffet at about $6 a person, so that added another $27 onto the total. I should have looked for a rate that included the buffet if it would have been less than the additional I had to pay. the buffet food selection was fine but they often ran out of food, did not attend to our table or provide what we asked for (like salt, water, silverware). I plan on using this hotel next year also.

We checked in 4/13 and checked out 4/15; my car had been damaged by the valet parking (as had 3 other vehicles that same morning). We faxed an estimate on 4/20/07. As of today, 17 May ,we still haven't heard a word from the valet parking insurance company.
Be aware that valet parking is required at this hotel but the Marriott staff and hotel take NO responsibility for the safety of your vehicle or for any insurance claim problems. The valet parking insurance lines are completely overwhelmed and I feel I'll be lucky to get any part of the $2100 damage to my car.
I would never stay here again.

I checked into the Columbus Courtyard on 2/16/07 had to be the coldest day ever, it was -5 degrees, ground was covered with mounds of snow/ice from the recent snow storm to hit the midwest. This hotel is located smack in the middle of Downtown columbus, walking distance to the Columbus Convention Center. Lobby is small, they do offer complimentary hot chocolate. coffee/tea, which was very well welcome under the frided temps. Tthey have managed to cram a bar area in the lobby, which is in the wrong place as you have to try to widdle between the bar patrons. Room very nice, bed was awesome. My only pet peeve was website listed valet & self parking, there is only valet parking which wasnt a major problem, until you have to valet your own car, as the valet person was never around to retrieve your car.
