Exec summary: good location, clean and comfortable room, low service, standard room at EUR 130 per night excl breakfast. I recommend everyone who wants to be in a relaxed atmosphere (garden, beach, swimming pool) but can reach BCN very easily.
Details: 10-min drive from the BCN Airport. City centre (Pl Catalunya) is reachable by bus No 95 within 40min, by car within 20 min. The bus stop is a 3-min walk from the hotel. Decent size of garden, next to the beach, swimming pool is nice although it is a bit small and the water is warm (around 30C). Beds, blankets are available. On the seaside, no service (no windsurft, kayak, no sunbrella for rent, etc).
The room is very clean, complementary soft drinks, modern furnitures. It has LCD TV, CD player but no dvd. The aircon was properly operated.
Breakfast is average (15 EUR). The cons are the following: very low quality of service even according to Spanish (or Catalan) standards. You have to wait ages until a waiter appears, they are very slow, do not speak a word in English. The menu is below average quality, no innovation just boring foods, and limited choice. No cocktails at all. No concierge, no internet, no business centre. Front desk service is slightly below average. Late check out option is redicilously pricey (95 EUR). To sum up only from service point of view: the hotel is badly managed, staff is unexperienced, slow, front desk is understaffed (9 people queued up to get help at the same time and one receptiost was at work). It took ages to arrange very basic things (like booking a table in the nearby restaurant). Last thing: there are few (ie Torreon) reasonable restaurants in walking distance, better to avoid the AC Gava Mar restaurant in case of dinners.

I stayed one night on business. Nice friendly hotel. Clean and modern. In the middle of housing but back straight on to miles of golden beach. Next to a sports club which I think you can use.
Doesn't have a real bar - you have to sit in the lounge and hope a waiter comes by, which is a bit irritating after a long day. However, the room has free soft drinks in the mini-bar.
Rooms very clean and smart. Bed very comfortable. Shower was great as was the all glass sink which has been mentioned elsewhere. Restaurant didn't open until 8-30pm and only had a few guests all night so not much atmosphere.
Bit obscure to find. My taxi had to put is sat nav on and still got a bit lost. Overall a nice hotel - but needs a bit more atmosphere. Great location for the beach though.

Nice and very modern hotel. The room was clean and had transparent glass sink. This is something that I have never seen in a hotel and it underlines the cleanness. Please note that the hotel is not in Barcelona but in small city on the sea near the BCN airport. The beach is nice and wide. There is a gym just next to the hotel that can be used for free. The real downside is the food. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are really very basic and poor. I suggest to dine out.

Excellent hotel, but a little remote for me.
The hotel was fantastic, probably the best I have ever stayed in.
However, there were a small number of things that spolied it for me.
No money changing facilities. They closed the pool a week before we got there.
Shops etc were a 10 euro taxi fare.
I advise you to take a map of the hotel as we had a problem at the airport.
For a great steak, La Pampa Argentine restaurant is perfect. You will have to book.
If you want a break in peace and quiet this is the hotel for you.
By the way there is no bar but waiter service in the lounge.

The hotel location is right in front of the beach. Management is OK but there seem to be not enough people working in the hotel. Room cleaning is very well done. But the front desk is rapidly over crowded.
Room and hotel design is cutting edge.
Pool is a joke !!!!! Come on !!!
The breakfast is consitent but still expensive (10 euros / person). The restaurant have a very good chef, it's almost french cuisine. You will also like the restaurant in the fitness club next to the hotel.
Notice that Gava Mar is near Barcelona airport , so you will hear airplane noise all over the day. Rooms are well isolated from external sound.
There is a nice Chiriguuito in front of the beach near the hotel. It's better to get some drinks over there.
Enjoyed the stay, price was Ok. 120/night euros for 2.
Barcelona is a 15/20 minutes drive. Cabs cost approx 30 euros. Better take the train.
The beach is really nice, so enjoy it.
