We when to NH Krystal Ixtapa for a family trip with two children 6 and 3. The Hotel in general was OK actually I was expecting a little bit more. The room is OK, average, the beds are OK and the room side is OK. The hotel elevators need to be renovate, I decided to take the stairs (8 floors) a couple of times because all the elevators were busy and they were slow.
The food taste is OK but there is no much variety, so price/quality/service/variety does not match, I feel that the buffet was expensive ($185 pesos) for what I received and when we decided to order instead of taking the buffet, the service was bad.
The pools are nice and the activities on the Hotel are OK. In general we enjoyed the hotel.
The hotel location is OK, it is on a walking distance from the mall.

HOtel staff was not helpful, beach was unswimmable and life guards were there to keep everyone out of the very dangerous water. Also there was green foam floating in the water for miles the entire week we were there.
The room smelled moldy as there were no fans in the bathroom and moisture never evaporated. Same in the hotel elevators which were continually wet due to people in wet swimsuits coming through all day long.
The pool bar staff were fine and the food was ok. Afternoon pool activity was basically a guy yelling into a microphone for two hours. very annoying and juvenile.
Hotel breakfast was delicious.
Trip to la ropa and zihua is worth it, taxi rates are reasonable.
Go to emilios for the pizza, also chimichangas was good. food in general was expensive.
This is not a 3 star hotel by any stretch.

The staff was nice, the food wasnt that great i never saw seafood in the buffet the same thing ,not tomany choices, breakfast buffet was the best meal, the worst thing was my bed all bumpy i had a lot of back pain, the bathroom was to hot and moldy ,needs a remodelation.
Next time i am going to try other hotel
