We have just returned from a superb stay in the Gran Hotel. The staff were all charming and very helpful. The service in general was excellent. On arrival our car was parked for us and our luggage taken directly to our room. Any time we needed the car we asked at reception and it was brought to the door of the hotel immediately. The room was spacious enough, spotlessly clean and the shower in the bathroom had excellent pressure. . The hotel is situated in the centre of the town, within walking distance of the sights, shops, restaurants etc. The buffet breakfast was served in the magnificent dining room and was also impossible to fault (well, maybe the tortilla on the buffet was not great, but that is just nitpicking). Would highly recommend this hotel.

This is an old, stylish, traditional hotel that has been totally renewed, right in the center of Zaragoza. Very good looking, excellent decor, quiet and efficient. I left my expensive shaving soap in the bathroom, phoned the hotel and a week later, when I returned to it, it was waiting for me in my new room. I have not given it an "Excellent" rating only because while my wife and I stayed there, they were varnishing the wooden floor in one of the public rooms and the smell of varnish was overpowering, even in our room. However, this was just bad luck and unlikely to happen often. Got a very good rate on the internet, the staff was very efficient and friendly and the hotel is in the very heart of Zaragoza, with plenty of good bars and restaurants around. The hotel restaurant is really good, if somewhat pricey. If you go to Zatagoza, try this one!
