This hotel was not the best hotel I've stayed in Savannah, but it's definitely not near the worst. The king suite was a little small, but I was traveling alone, so space wasn't a factor. It had a slight musty smell, but not bad enough that I wanted to leave. The carpeting was dark, but looked clean; you really can't tell due to the color. One thing I didn't like was the shower "curtain." I hate those and think they should be banned from hotels and replaced with glass doors. Also, there was a charge for their breakfast ($9.95), which is usually free at comparable hotels. I chose to skip breakfast and save my money for a great lunch.
One thing that caught my attention on the last day was black mold in the ice machine on the 2nd floor. It's located in the clear dispenser area. I contacted management, but because I was leaving the day I reported it, I wasn't able to follow up to see if they cleaned it. So, beware!

I stayed here while attending a conference. The conference was at a different hotel. The hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful. The grounds were in excellent shape and well maintained. I like the location as it was a distance away from the conference and was a very nice walk in the morning and back in the afternoon. There are several routes you can take that will lead you through the various squares. I asked for a late check out and they graciously obliged. Overall, a very nice place.

I do not stay in swanky or cheap motels so this review is based upon that. I always stay at the Courtyards.
Problems:
They had no record of reservation even after seeing my rewards card. They had name spelled wrong.
Slow service on Sat. & Sunday (rooms cleaned at 1pm and 3pm respectively). All vending machines on the floor were empty. Excuse was that it was a busy week. No excuse when you know a convention is in town ahead of time. Called desk to no answer at 8pm to tell them they were empty. No offer to bring a coke to room at their expense. Did not leave any face and hand towels after cleaning and finally only delivered hand towels - not enough.
Valet service was fine consistently.
TV remote was damaged. Room was musty upon entering before AC turned on.
Sheets were dirty. Comforter also.
Coffee in Lobby was free but undrinkable.
Exhaust vent in toilet had stripped screws and was not flush with ceiling.

Spent two nights at the Midtown Courtyard on vacation; the area isn't the nicest I've ever stayed in, but I felt reasonably safe and the location isn't bad for historical/recreational purposes (but you WILL spend time driving). The room was nice and newly-furnished, but on the small side considering the rate was north of $120/night. The breakfast buffet was $10 extra if you had eggs and sausage or bacon, $7 extra without--an unfortunate premium considering most competitors now offer similar buffets for free.

Stayed on Courtyard on Points Jan 19-21 and was very surprised. The room was a king with very nice linens and one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have slept on in years! The staff was great and the Manager went out of his way to explain that there were a group of kids staying at the hotel for a sports event and advised if there were any issues, to contact the front desk immediately!
The area was nice with many of very good eateries and since we were driving, the Historic District and Riverfront were only 10 minutes away. Would stay again.
