very nice, clean, pleasant hotel with good service, good food. Best part was, going to the warm swimming pool after a long skiing day, with many pains in the legs and shoulders... We were given the room facing the north side, which was quite small and not so comfortable, but my mother and sister?s family took the rooms on the south side, which as they tell, were excellent, having a beautiful view to the town and sunshine.
Rooms are very clean, and modern looking.
There is nothing negative to say about this hotel. It is alittle bit expensive, though and far from city center. However what is better than walking on a fresh mountain weather :)

Words can’t describe how much we enjoyed our stay in Waldhotel Davos at the last week of the year!
From the first moment when Mr. Felismino (the driver ) have picked us up at Davos Dorf we felt more like visiting friends than Hotel guests! During all the time that we stayed in Waldhotel the feeling was the same (although we don’t speak German). In each breakfast and dinner, in every evening, in every moment, we were at home!!
The room itself (the panorama double room) was fantastic!! Very modern, with all the amenities that you can need and with a superb view overlooking Davos and the mountains!! The swimming-pool with salt water at 34ºC was great!! After a day skiing at the slopes...
All the staff in the dinning room was very kind and helpful (Tammara who spoke with us in Spanish), nothing was too much trouble for them!! At the bar Veronika have prepared our "camilla teas" every night with the same friendliness!!!
The New year`s program was very well organised. Two gala dinners (one on 31th December and one on the 1st January) each one preceded by a cocktail where Mr and Mrs Thomann-Koch (the managers)took with all the guests as close friends. The food had great quality and variety, so we recommend you to stay in half-board!
The Hotel is not in the centre town but because his location was much more quiet and with incredible views than the others! They have a shuttle bus to take the guests to the main points in Davos (ski runs, railway stations, etc).On the day of our departure, in spite of this service start at 8,30 am Mr Felismino wake-up earlier to take us in Davos Platz at 8 o’clock!!
The Hotel has a library and an internet corner free of charge. It is also very agreeable to spend an hour after dinner in the lobby in front of the fireplace!!
Davos is not a typical village in the mountains like the nearby Klosters (with Swiss chalets), but by the other hand it has fantastic shops, coffees and ski facilities. Davos is the Europe largest ski resort offering top-of-the-line skiing for all levels. If you need some ski lessons try Schweizer Schneesportschule Davos and ask for lessons with Peter Zulliger (our professor for 3 days). He is very kind and speak very good English!!
Enjoy Davos and the Waldhotel!! We will return next winter!!
