As a result of having misbooked our reservations to begin our stay at the Albergo del Senato, we arrived in Rome with no place to stay on the night of our arrival. The desk concierge at del Senato, Salvatore, quickly arranged accommodations for us at the Albergo del Sole Al Pantheon for the evening for half price!. The large apartment suite was in a separate building from the hotel and directly faced the Pantheon. This was a large suite with a king size bed, a sitting room, a very modern bathroom, a large screen tv over the fireplace and a writing desk. It was nicely furnished overall. We had a key to enter the building as well as our room key. The front desk representative and bellhop were both professional and welcoming. The only issue with our stay was with the air-conditioning which was not working very well at all. It was 90+ degrees during our stay in Rome and the room was very uncomfortable because the AC didn't do the job. The next four nights we stayed at the Senato and the AC cooled the room more effectively. In summary, a positive experience particularly in light of the emergency situation and the discount.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in Late May 2008. We arrived early and the hotel graciously allowed us to leave our luggage while we went out and explored the city.
Our room was a "double room superior" and overlooked the Pantheon Square. The view was tremendous but so was the noise at night (if you left the window open like we did). Being heavy sleepers the noise was not a problem for us, but if you like fresh air and can't deal with the noise a courtyard room might be more appropriate. (Had the A/C worked better I might have closed the window at bedtime).
The hotel staff were all super friendly, the breakfast was fantastic, the room clean and comfortable.
The location is simply out of this world. It was within walking distance of everywhere that we wanted to go. About 20 min walk to the Vatican was the longest walk.
We enjoyed our stay and would suggest it to anyone.

My daughter, BFF and her son stayed at the Sole Al Pantheon for 3 nights at the end of June. We had just completed a 12 day cruise and were exhausted but ready to experience Rome. This was my third trip but my friend and her son's first.
I selected this hotel based on reviews off of this website and its wonderful LOCATION. It is the best location if you are staying in Rome....close to everything...we walked every where...even to the Vatican and Coloseum.
My daughter and I stayed in one of the junior suites that overlooked the square/Pantheon. This was fabulous...and what I would recommend.
All staff were wonderful.
The breakfast was the best I have ever had in Europe!
One of the best things was the honesty of the Staff!
Upon arrival home in Houston....I discovered that I had left a very expensive bracelet in the safety deposit box.
The manager Maurizio Taliano tracked it down and as we speak...it is being FedEx's to me. This integrity has amazed me.
It would have been very easy to say that it was not available, because it was 2 days until I realized that it was missing.
My daughter and I are so thankful....I would most certainly recommend and stay at this beautiful hotel in the future.

I found my experience at this hotel delightful, the room was clean, well maintained by Catherine, and ample; clean bathroom and rather large; large screen flat-TV, but wish their mini-bar was empty to use as a refrig. The breakfast was excellent, more than excellent; staff generous with their time and always assisted me when needed. Would not hesitate to stay again, which I do expect. I was a single male traveler. HOWEVER, i would caution all to stay away from a local retail store, acroos the square and to the left of the entrance of the hotel which is directly across from a store named Armando Al Pantheon and Paper Moon; the retail to avoid is a coffee shop and gift shop; the store had an outside sign reading as follows: Regali Di Rienzo(Di Rienzo): They are selling phone cards that DO NOT WORK AND ARE BLOCKED WHEN YOU ATTEMPT TO CALL; and absolutely refuse to take the cards back by simply stating whatever your complaint is "impossible." Be forewarned and avoid this store at all costs. John P. Naples, FL, USA
