After arriving straight from the ski fields our room was not ready however this was not a problem and the friendly staff immediately organised another room for us. I cannot fault the service definately 5 star. They were always on hand to make our stay very enjoyable. One day it was raining and without a moments hesitation we were offered an umbrella for our convenience. The room was very pleasing and the bed most comfortable which is exactly what was needed after days spent skiing. The views were amazing too. We had the buffet breakfast daily and it was very good. The hotel is in a great position right in the heart of the village. If we ever return to Queenstown we will definately be staying there again.

We stayed a total of 7 nights in the hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were thoroughly pleased with the level of service and appearance of the hotel. First and foremost, we can't ask for a better location. The hotel is just outside the town center but close enough, within a less than 5-minute walk. The hotel is also situated just across from the steamer wharf where some of Queenstown's top restaurants are located.
The view from our balcony window was absolutely breathtaking.. imagine the feeling of waking up every morning with that view by your window! The room itself is a little small, not as roomy as we had wished it to be. We couldn't fit an extra bed in the room so our 5 yr-old had to share our bed. Nevertheless, we were very happy with the general cleanliness and amenities of the room. There is a laundry room for guests so that saved us a trip to the laundromat. The hotel also provides ski storage at no extra cost.
We didn't drive but booked our daily transport through the conscierge who was more than willing to help. The hotel's restaurant, threesixty, is the happening place in town. We have the buffet breakfast there every morning and the food was great.
We had such a wonderful time and would definitely stay there again the next we are in Queenstown.

Everything about our stay here was outstanding. The front desk staff were very helpful with any requests that we had and were very friendly. We had a king room and I expected your usual hotel generic bed. However, the bed was AWESOME...very comfortable. The hotel was very quiet even though we were close to the elevators. We had a balcony which looked directly across the street to the lake. If I had to think of anything that was below par with this hotel, it would be the concierge. Although he was very nice, not too knowledgable. He directed us to two restaurants that were actually temporarily closed for renovation, but no big deal to us, as there were plenty of other restaurants to chose from.
So, all in all, nice staff, VERY clean room, comfortable bed/pillows, excellent views, great location, and quiet.
I highly recommend!!!

My husband and I stayed at the Crowne Plaza for two nights this past April. We could not have asked for better accomodations and service. We had views of Queenstown and the lake from our balcony that could not be surpassed...the sunsets were spectacular.
The hotel is conveniently located across from the docks and beach; we were able to walk to Queenstown Hill and around the lake.
We would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

Sorry for the late review but thought it was worthwhile whilst I was researching another trip. Stayed last year with my two children (then 7 & 9). Room was not the largest but excellently appointed and with balcony overlooking the water. All staff were really great about everything. We got in early before the room was ready but the staff showed us where we could get changed etc so that we could go skiing. Whilst my kids are pretty well behaved, kids will be kids. The staff were very accommodating for them but also made sure that they did not interfere with other guests. Restaurant menu was not the best so we tried a number of restaurants in the area. Sorry to say but generally they were not the best. Three of note. The chinese restaurant down the road above the souvenir shop - yuk! Award winning restaurant with lamb (staff recommended) excellent food and service. The hamburger and chip specialist (once again ask the staff) must have the best chips in the world. No wonder the queue for the food is soo long but worthwhile. Skiing at Remarkables was great except being hit by a snowboarder leading to a knee reconstruction. Last time I skiied at the Remarkables was heliskiing before there was a resort.
