We stayed for one night in a room on the Executive Level, floor 6. First the good, the hotel is very clean, nicely furnished rooms, comfy bed with nice pillows---a rarety in most hotels, usually you are lucky to get a comfy bed, but nice pillows was a plus
.
The only complaint we have and it is a BIG one is that the AC did not work properly in our room. When we first checked in, we thought it was just not on, flipped it on, and left. We got back in the room at 1:30 AM and it was still warm! It had been a very long day and we did not feel like packing up and moving to another room, so we stayed put. (I had been up since 3:30 AM, so was barely funtioning at this point and couldn't stand the thought of changing rooms) It was a big disappointment and of course, we both got very little sleep. In retrospect, we should have said something when we first checked in, as any other hotel we have stayed in the AC was freezing when we got to the room on check in. Only good thing is we only paid $99 for the room.
Would we stay here again, sure, but we will make darn sure the AC works next time!

We stayed here for 2 nights. We selected this hotel because of its location--very convenient to the Interstate and shopping/restaurants--and we received what I thought was a good deal ($89/night through the Entertainment book).
The hotel is clean and the indoor pool area looked inviting, although we did not use it. We did notice a musty/smoky smell upon entering the lobby from the side door.
Our room was relatively spacious and the bed and pillows were comfy. Even though our room was near the elevator, the noise didn't keep us up.
The hotel is in the process of renovating and we experienced two incidents related to it -- our shower did not work (bath worked fine), and later I came back to our room to brush my teeth...no water! In both cases we called down to the front desk and a maintenance person responded right away. I wish the hotel would have let us know when we made the reservation that renovations were going on, and let us know ahead of time that the water supply may be turned off at times.

This hotel is very easy to get to from the I-90/94 exit at Hwy. 151 (a major exit for vising the east side of Madison). For travelers who are looking for a place to stay overnight near the highway, this one is great because of its reasonable price and location just three or four blocks due west of the interchange. Far enough away to miss all the loud traffic sounds but literally a 45 second drive from the highway (if you make the stop lights).
The hotel was clearly newly renovated and is in excellent condition especially in the rooms which are large, clean and very comfortable.
There is a very cool and very prominent pool with a decent hot tub and other stuff for kids to do right inside the front door so there is a great deal of openness and you can feel at ease letting the kids play while you sit pool side.
The rooms have the standard Crowne Plaza appointments which means the beds are ultra comfortable and everything is in good shape.
It has one of the largest bathrooms I've ever seen in a hotel. The counter top was so long, it could easily fit two sinks and still have plenty of room left over to put your stuff on. Two people or even three could get ready in their easily.
Only one minor issue. Our kleenex box had run out and hadn't been replaced.

The bed was very comfortable (the linen spray is a nice touch) with a great comforter. They had the good shower head that is known in these hotels and that's always nice.
I thought the room was a bit overpriced for the area (I'm sure it's partly due to the fact that they have a restaurant/bar onsite).
Breakfast buffet/area was really nice, but again, overpriced and not worth it unless it came with your room.
Number one complaint here is that they had the most comfortable chair at the desk to sit and work (was there for hours and didn't mind) and in their attempt to modernize the rooms they put these cold, hard chairs that although they looked nice, totally sucked.
Overall, would stay here again, but will first check out a few more reasonably priced hotels before returning...

Because it was graduation weekend we had liitle choice of hotels. However we were satisfied with the Crowne Plaza. Our room at the back was very quiet with no traffic noise. Breakfast was average.
If we could be sure of a room at the rear we would be quite happy to stay at the hotel again.
