My husband and I stayed here for one night in December 2007. I was scheduled to have surgery at Central Baptist the following morning, so the location was great. When we called to reserve our room, we requested a room with a jacuzzi tub in it...we hardly ever get away just the two of us! We were told that they had one jacuzzi room available for $124. We booked the room. When we arrived, we were told that they had upgraded us to a Presidential suite, without any additional charge. These suites run above $300 on average, so we gladly accepted the upgrade. The room was outstanding. It was very clean, spacious and the decor was as expected for a hotel of this class. The bed was extremely comfortable as well. We ended up going out to eat, instead of eating at the hotel, so I cannot review the restaurant. We retired early that night, since we had to leave at 6:00 the next morning. We never heard any noise in the hallways or outside. We would definately stay here again, even if it was just a std room!

We came to Lexington to visit our son over the July 4th weekend. We booked a king room for two. The price was very reasonable. We pre-paid through the hotel website and got a deal. We arrived very late on the 3rd but check in was quick and pleasant. To our surprise when we arrived at our room it was suite with a sofa, fridge, Jacuzzi and a king sized bed. Every aspect of the room was nice, plenty of towels and pillows. The room was very clean.
We enjoyed the pool. Room service was quick and efficient. The location was across from St. Joseph's Hospital but there was no noise to speak of. The hotel has had recent renovations and some was ongoing but it did not affect our stay.

We stayed at the Campbell House in association with an academic trip. We stayed in a suite and absolutely loved our room. The decor was classic and elegant. The room was spacious and clean, with a fridge, microwave and coffee pot. We had a King size Tempurpedic bed, which was very comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious, with a nice shower and separate jacuzzi tub which was very large.
The only down side was the Internet connectivity. Internet was wired only, and it was difficult to get working. Otherwise, it was a perfect experience. We'd definitely stay at the Campbell House again.

This hotel had major damage from a storm the first week of February 2008. They have just started repairs and it looks like it will take a while (many months) for them to fix all the damage,
I noticed construction workers when I checked in and asked if the room they were giving me was in the construction area and was told no. When I got to the room I found they were patching the roof directly above my room. If you enjoy the sound of Power hammers every 2-3 seconds from morning to night this is your kind of place, They claimed they had no other rooms and since it was late and I didn't really have much choice I had to stay.
The Internet service was down when I checked in, No wireless only a 6 foot wire at the desk. The rooms are musty smelling and small. The lobby and restaurant are dark.
The only good thng was my stay was only one night.

I agree with many of the other guests who wrote reviews. The older section (haven't stayed in the newer section apparently much nicer according to the front desk) - the rooms were dirty, spider webs, dust, musty smell from leaky a/c . Vents haven't been cleaned in years. And ladies- no floor length mirrors anywhere. Even an attempt to stand on the chair to the desk and get a view in the only mirror in the room doesn't work. Rooms are small. For a Crowne Plaza- Holiday Inns needs to either change the rating or require the rooms be redone and majorly cleaned.
